Title: Do you think I'm crazy?
Post by: WalkerInTheWoods on July 21, 2003, 13:24:38
Your posts tend to be different, but that makes things interesting. Though not everyone understands or likes different. I say, be yourself.

beaves,

Psychiatrists say that as many as one in 10 Americans has a serious emotional disorder. There're about 2500 members listed in AstralPulse, 10 percent of this total is about 250 members, who could be suffering from serious emotional disorders. The fact that you say 'I don't really care'about suffering a mental disorder, makes you strangely suspect, in my book.

i dont' know if you could say ten percent of the people on teh forum can be compared to ten percent of the population of the world.  i could just as easily say that someone w/ an emotional disorder wouldn't be discussing personal issues on a public forum.  that would greatly lessen the percent of people w/ emotional disorders here.  assuming that the study is perfectly correct.

beavis, since you asked, i'll give you my opinion.  this isn't an attack on you and keep in mind that i'm just one person.  i remember when i first saw a few of your replies.  the thought that came to mind was that you were being a little immature and were just posting to post.  the more i've read though, the more i don't really think you are immature but are still just posting to post.  your posts are usually one or two sentences and not informative enough for that.  if you are going to be curt, try also being precise and definitive.  your posts are usually so short and ambiguous that i don't reply to any of them.

sometimes you reply w/ things that can be argued, but don't give any background as to where you got the information from.  i don't know how to work the quoting feature on this forum but here is one example:  "The amount you can remember depends on the strength of the connection between spirit and brain. Normally it is very weak. Think about what you see in astral until you can learn nothing else from it"

this is a reply to someone asking about memory.  i dont' know where you got that from but it doesn't make any sense to me.  honestly, it seems asinine.  i'm not saying it is asinine but the way it's presented makes it have less of an impact.

i'm assuming you had to have read taht somewhere.  don't believe everything you read.  if you didn't read that somewhere i would be interested in knowing how you came up w/ that.  i'm not being sarcastic here.  if you've had experiences that have made you think things like these, please share them w/ us.

i'm not saying that you are doing this but the way your posting seems like someone who is just trying to up his/her member status here.

Below is a test used by a famous pyschologist.

The main character in the story is this girl.  When she was at the funeral of her own mother, she met this guy who was also there, but she did not know who he was.

This guy happened to fit her bill of her dream guy, so she fell in love with him at once; love at first sight etc...

A few days later, the girl killed her own sister.  When the cops asked her why she did that, she gave a very shocking answer...

What was her answer?

If you know the answer, you could very well be a serial killer. Congrats and good luck in your pursuits.

Hold your mouse button down and drag below to find the answer:

She knew the man would show up at the funeral, thus she killed her sister.

Great post fredhead.

Since you asked beavis one thing did strike me as odd.  I forget the topic.. i think maybe it was the one where you said you create your reality or something to that effect.  I mentioned something about how we are here to learn and if we see this as nothing but a dream always we might not learn as much.  You said something like "youre here to learn if youre ignorant" but that you're on your last life here as a human as you learned somewhere and so you have no learning to do.

I always thought that was weird.  Im not sure if you were joking or not but do you really think you're on your last incarnation and you have nothing more to learn?

Mirador "The fact that you say 'I don't really care'about suffering a mental disorder, makes you strangely suspect, in my book."

I dont care if people think I'm not normal enough (crazy) because I like the way I think.

fredhedd "just posting to post. your posts are usually one or two sentences and not informative enough for that."

I dont like to beat around the bush. The content can be very confusing, but its there for a reason, not just to post.

"sometimes you reply w/ things that can be argued, but don't give any background as to where you got the information from. i don't know how to work the quoting feature on this forum but here is one example: "The amount you can remember depends on the strength of the connection between spirit and brain. Normally it is very weak. Think about what you see in astral until you can learn nothing else from it" this is a reply to someone asking about memory. i dont' know where you got that from but it doesn't make any sense to me."

I figured that out by myself, so I have no source to quote and no proof of it other than experience that would be hard to put into words. Sometimes I can summarize it in words, but many important details are missing.

"i'm assuming you had to have read taht somewhere. don't believe everything you read. if you didn't read that somewhere i would be interested in knowing how you came up w/ that."

In addition to the info about how the brain works I received from astral, I've done a lot of reading about how the brain works down to the neuron level. I also did a lot of observing my brain as it learns and thinks. What assumptions does it make and why. How is it similar to how my spirit thinks, etc. A brain will make an interface to any unfamiliar system it connects to with inputs and outputs. Then the other system can be used as part of the brain. More neuron connections to this system (spirit, other bodies, etc) allow more kinds of info to pass through the connection AND BECOME MEMORIES.

"i'm not saying that you are doing this but the way your posting seems like someone who is just trying to up his/her member status here."

No I dont care how many stars or posts I have.

goingslow "You said something like "youre here to learn if youre ignorant""

We are all ignorant. Learning never stops.

"but that you're on your last life here as a human as you learned somewhere and so you have no learning to do."

I meant I didnt have much left to learn HERE. I am using my last incarnation.

I've changed so much since I started this astral stuff. Maybe I make too many assumptions about the readers of my posts.

what kind of assumptions have you been making about the readers of you posts?

when you say things like "The amount you can remember depends on the strength of the connection between spirit and brain. Normally it is very weak."  w/out telling us where you got the info from, it doesn't hold any value.  this is how thing should be otherwise we'd all be a bunch of gullable people.  if you are going to post certain ideas that you've come across, please give us some info on where you came up w/ them.  i'm not saying i believe you or don't, but you can't just post semething like that by itself and expect anyone to understand or believe what you are saying.

i know what you mean by not being able to put experience into words.  it's impossible.  if you are going to put any of it in words though, like what you typed in, help us out w/ understanding more of what you mean.

i guess if you really believe you dont' have much left to learn here, you have good reason to believe so.  i can't imagine what you have learned so far that would merit that kind of thought though. kind of on a high horse there, aren't you?

since you say you are using your last incarnation, do you remember all of your past lives?  where are you going to go when you die here?  i'm curious.  there is a book i'm reading now about the after death state and re-incarnation called 'the tibetan book of the dead' by evans-wentz.  it's very interesting and might be worth cking out, if you haven't already read it.

i don't really curb any of my thoughts for anyone and i can come across as being rude when i'm just being honest and sincere.  so again, none of this is an attack on you and i'd be saying the same stuff if you were sitting next to me, and we'd still be friends afterward.  don't stop posting here, just give a little more info where you think it might be needed.

The "test" was one of many given to serial killers. It was not a definitive proof for them being so, only an insight into their logic.

I dont really care. I'm just curious. The main effect "you're crazy" would have is possibly making my posts more understandable by humans. They are very weird.
