Does marrying a divoiced women with 3 kids have spiritual benefits?

So I meet a women with 3 kids though she is divorced. She seems like a nice person with good qualities and I am wondering if marrying her would help he in the long run, like in my next reincarnation. Would I gain benefits in taking on such a hard task in my next life? Or would it not really matter?

EDIT: So in essence would marrying a women like this who doesn't have much money be better than marrying an independent women and having kids with her spiritually? Crazy question right. I just sometimes have a hard time believing it even matters helping others in need in the grand scheme of things.

Remember yourself too.  Instantly having three kids to share responsibility with might be doing someone else a favor the ends up putting you in the grave early.

Whether or not you should marry her should have more to do with her than with her kids, though they're part of the deal too.  That's what I'd say.  I would personally hesitate to do that but I don't know the women nor you really.
What is the sound of no leaves cloving?

ROFL  If you're looking for the self-benefits of something like this... you're probably not making a "Love-based" choice.
You don't quite understand the concept of Love, do you?  :)

Rakkso

Just passing by here. .
I'm not very sure, nor even slightly, but regarding her kids, I'd say most Kids are fun.

Two things left to say.
1.- Seems I can't fully grasp the concept of Love yet too, and you should. . Ehhh, give without expecting anything in return(?)
2.- If Confusious were to exist in the Present, Xanth would definitely be the most fit human being I know, to be his Reincarnation. (From my personal experience  :-D)

I hoped I helped, but it is likely that I need as much help as you. To get a wife in the future I mean of course lol

Xanth, If you could enlighten us here on Love would be awesome. Thank you

So your saying sacrifice means absolutely nothing spiritually?

Of course I won't marry her if we don't create love within the relationship. That is a no brainer. But what place does sacrifice play in the grand scheme spiritually then?

fowlskins

Your still looking at it as what you can gain out of it
It's not a sacrifice if your looking at it as what benefits you will receive
If you like her enough to be with her you will take on the kids and treat them as your own
You will find the unconditional love you get from them will be pretty rewarding in itself (my first long time girlfriend had a child already)

But I honestly think if you have to weigh up what's going to be good for you then your looking to feed your ego not your spirituality

Not when you're doing it specifically for a gain for yourself.  :)

Intent.

What's the Intent behind WHY you do what you do?

Intent is what makes the world go around.

^^ This  :)

If you love her, "what you gain from the situation" won't even factor into the equation.

Love "just is".

Oh yeah what about loves low entropy system. It sounds cold and calculated in a way to me.

EDIT: Someone brought this up not too long ago.

I don't understand what you're asking.

Never mind, I don't have the time to look into it fully. To busy with College right now. Though I might reply during the summer.

Whenever you're ready.  Take your time.  :)

This is sort of what I was thinking too.

It sounds to me like you are searching for some positives to outweigh what sounds like a situation with a lot of negatives to you in your mind.

It sounds like you should be focusing on whether you love this person, and whether you are comfortable entering into this situation. Doing arcane spiritual calculus in your head is not helping anyone here.

Ask yourself if it is the best thing for all five people involved in this equation. If it isn't, then the choice is simple.

If only it was so black and white. Perhaps one day I will see the situation better. As of now I am not going to marry her, but just learn more about her.

The title is somewhat of a misnomer.
If you have made a positive change to all the lives including your own without no underlying intent on spiritual development then you're improving the living standards and well being of all involved. That in itself is a good thing to do.
If you're looking for a gold star when life is over then you'd be failing all of you.
Do what's in your heart and be true to yourself.
There's far more where the eye can't see.
Close your eyes and open your mind.

Thanks for everyone that has posted a reply. Wouldn't it be correct to say that love without some risk to reward thinking can leave one susceptible to being gullible, and taken advantage of, while purely helping those in need just because you want a reward seems very empty and bad for us to lower our entropy? In reality I tend to think most people including myself take a middle ground between these two extremes. Is there anything wrong with that line of thinking?

Xanth

Love is love... damn the rewards.  If you have to think about it, it's probably not love.  ;)

Xanth do you give money to poor people on the street when they ask for it?

fowlskins

nothing wrong with playing it by ear and getting to know the girl a bit before jumping in plasma
i agree nothing is ever black and white and you shouldnt just jump into things

but the main reason your getting these responses is because of the way you worded your question
if your question was just should i take on a large family that wasnt my own i would say think about it because it wont be easy by any means
but looking for a spiritual pay of at the end seems a bit futile when there are so many other factors to take into consideration before that

Stillwater

Quotei agree nothing is ever black and white

Just a little bit here- notice that this is a self-defeating statement?

It is a logical contradiction to say nothing is ever black and white, because the declared non-existence of black and white situations is itself a black and white situation that you declare by making the statement, you see?

It is similar to saying "never say never", or when Yoda says, "Only a Sith deals in absolutes", because Yoda declares himself a Sith by his own rule, while making an absolute about Sith themselves

----------------------

My greater point here, relates back to Plasma's situation.

Are interpersonal relations a simple matter? Hardly.

Are there some things about them that are clearly black and white? I think so: if a decision has a bad outcome for the majority of those affected by it, it should be avoided. That is as close to as black and white as I can see things being.

Is it strange that the most important part I took from that post was... YODA IS A SITH!!!   :)

You know one of the main reasons I am even considering to help her is that I see a part of herself in my own struggle in life and especially in the past. I see it as a spiritual thing. I have been helped so much spiritually and I feel like if I can help her that I would be like a savior of some sort for her.

The other day after talking to her about her kids for a while she started crying because she saw how concerned I was for them.

You sound like you're trying really hard to convince yourself to do this...
Do what you want.  Perhaps you have to make a huge mistake in your life at this point... who knows.
