About "guides" and "guardians"- many disagree.  I personally don't think we understand how it works, but I know that there are many interested in each of us, including individuals who are "related" to us- and I don't use the word "related" literally, I think we have friends we have never met in this life.

I am glad you found Bruce's work so enlightening.  He does represent what I believe will become the "new age" of new age...less mysticism and more objective and down to earth research, and I liiiiike it!

I would like to express my delight on finding  Robert Bruce's book Astral Dynamics.At last after many years of reading metaphysical and books on related subjects here is one which demystifies , explains and shows a progression in understanding from earlier writings.
Also after many years I have found  a answer for the sensation of  a bloating body and hands which annoy me  during meditation ,at times my hands get that big that I could cradle the world in them or so it seems. I have only come across  one other reference concerning this ,it was in a Buddhist book , here it was referred to it as big body with no explanation given . Having   experienced various  other phenomena written about in Astral Dynamics I appreciate the conformation and  the acquisition of  further knowledge .
.But there there is no explanation (unless I missed it ) of jolting awake ,this I have read is the astral body dropping  and awakening the physical body.Prior to this happing recently my right astral leg was floating above the body , so what is the jolt ?
There is one other question I would like to pose ,do guides and other spiritual forces take as keen a interest in our daily life's as believed by many .In other world do we have personal guides in some cases there are claims to a whole host .Mr. Bruce writes that meeting higher spiritual beings and angels is a rare event . I've always put this in the unknown basket as I can not claim any personal experience concerning this in my daily life.
