I always tell people, if you change your perception, you change your reality.
Eckhart Tolle answers a question pertaining to this very statement.

It was his book that got me hooked on Seth Material and Law of Attraction stuff. I've not looked back. Daryl Anka who is 'channeling' Bashar has similar views. It's all worth taking a look at and taking from it the views that resonate.

When I was a little more restless I was bored to death by Eckhart Tolle, but I like the guy well enough now.  I read one of his books too and it was actually really good.

I haven't read much of the Seth Material, but I've been meaning to start the Law of One stuff, and I'm a big fan of Bashar as well.

I've literally lived the expression I shared above.
My perception of reality shifted at some point not too long ago... as a result, my life has changed completely, yet also not at all.  :)

I go back and re-read old spiritual / projection books... listen to the same lectures again and again... and I hear it all in a completely different way now.

I know what you mean.  Even things I read and understand, it takes time to integrate and implement a lot of these things.  I'm in a situation now where I know I need to let go of a few clinging worries and fears and have more trust, but it's a little like jumping into cold water, and last time I was in cold water I waded in slowly until it was about up to my waist and then unspeakable discomfort ensued.  Maybe that's not the best metaphor,  it's not quite that bad...

I see examples all the time of people creating their own reality just by the way they look at what's going on around them. Sometimes these are people who see things negatively and live with lots of anxiety and worry.  And the funny thing is that when I try to point this out, to encourage them to see things in a different way, I may as well be trying to push a cow out of quicksand, their way of seeing things has so far engrained itself.  But I can at least take this as an example and warning to myself of how I can sabotage myself by not keeping a blank, clean slate of a mind, or at least to try to look towards the positive and empowering things that are out there.

It's actually a PERFECT metaphor.  :)

Yup!  Entirely.
People need to "discover" things for themselves if it's to have any lasting impact upon their lives.  I speak from experience in regards to this as well.  :)

My Life changed since I read 'the Power of Now'. I can't believe how much I would wander about lost in my own thoughts. I had a 'victim' persona that was turning me into a mess. So thanks to Eckhart who got the ball rolling for me. Funnily enough his material now seems a bit light compared other things I've read.
Since my perspective has changed I've lost a lot of fear and I'm happier about everything!
The only thing I was a little uneasy about is that everything started to appear dreamlike. The world seems to have lost it's solidity even though everything seems clearer and brighter!
