Laurel,

My opinion is that we each have our particular path to follow. For most of the people who post at this forum, the path largely includes spiritual matters.

However, the spiritual path is one where we make the journey, arrive at the insights, and hopefully progress along the path, but do it in an individual way.

That being said, if your path includes a heartfelt desire to try and make things better by making your voice heard, then you should by all means do so.

I think political activism is a great thing.  I personally believe many people who are into new age stuff are more likely to be vegitarians and environmentalists than be activists against human atrocities.  Why this is so I can only speculate, but I do have some theories.

I think its great to not think spiritual progression means becoming apathetic and "everything is meant to be" or work harder on becoming neutral instead of getting involved in the world on that level.  Some of the people I believe are the most advanced really tried to help their fellow humans on earth.

As far as drawing attention to yourself from the government that is always a possibility.  The government is taking some weird turns now and resembles our government back in the 20's when it comes to cracking down on certain beliefs (if you're american).  I personally dont think im high profile enough to get any attention, however Im amazed how many people are losing jobs for daring to speak up now a days.

Its a full regression.

Anyway there are my thoughts on some of those issues..

take care

Hi, Laurel,

My opinion is that we should actively try to sabotage the current system, but not through violent activities or strikes as it has been done in the past. The most knowledgeable of us should try to inspire more people to seek answers for themselves, until critical mass of people is reached that can unite behind one sensible idea -- to do away with corrupt politicians (but not kill them) and elect the highest spiritual people as leaders.
I have been very much inspired by "Thiaoouba Prophecy" by Michel Desmarquet. Have you read it?

Best regards,
Vesko
Man exists physically for the sole purpose of developing spiritually -- "Thiaoouba Prophecy" by Michel Desmarquet.
Have you also read "SHE AND I" by the same author? A great book about parenting.

Go Veskooo!!!! Like it.

Personally, I would half agree thats its probably best, for some people, not to get too active and visible in their activities. But the people who are at greatest risk are like the zero point energy researchers, anti-grav, and etc. Quite a lot of them have been murdered - no exagerration, though I dont know if thats still going on today (Tom Bearden reckons they stopped that 15 years ago, but the researchers do still get a LOT of hassle). Other things tend to get you noticed pretty quickly - building a chembuster, for instance, is bound to attract a lot of attention (bwahaha). Then there are also people at lofty spiritual hights who get followed and etc big time.

Really, I think that the amount of attention you will recieve is directly proportional to the importance of the things you are doing and your visibility in doing it. Most spiritual people aren't that much of a threat IMO. Besides, even if you do get noticed, whats in the odd phone tap? They dont seem to actually DO anything to you, just collect info. It still sucks, but its not life threatening....

As for protests and etc - I think that, in todays climate, they are totally useless on anything except the minor issues. We had the biggest protests the world has ever seen against the Iraq invasion and what did they achieve? Diddlie-sqat!
IMO the Mararishi effect is probably one of the best ways to help the world, and its also one of the most hidden, and most accessible for spiritual people........

peace....

My husband-type person and I have this long standing disagreement going. He thinks that, if you're involved in intense psychic/spiritual development and not extremely secretive about it, you should not be involved in political activism (anything from letter-writing to rallies to community organizing), because it's likely to get you too much attention from the FBI or other powerful groups and agencies. I'm posting this publicly, so I guess you can tell that I don't go along with that idea.

But I do consider it. Being a vocal citizen is important to me at this stage of the game, and I feel it contributes to my spiritual/psychic development. Although I know there are other ways to "do good" besides political activism (or human rights stuff), I feel very drawn to that particular form of contributing in the physical. Has anyone else dealt with this topic? What conclusions or thoughts have you had about it?
