Double-checking- does anyone ever do this?

Because i'm careless sometimes i might be walking along the road and the car slams its breaks in front of me or maybe in another instance i  will hit my head off of something.

so i continue walking down the street and because of all these false awakenings and understanding how fragile reality is......i get a thought.

"look behind you to make sure the car never ran you over and your not lying in the middle of the road dead"

so i turn around and check to make sure i haven't been killed without noticing it lol.


I dunno if this makes sense to you guys but i hope it does

I would think if I were dead I would know it , but i guess you could never really be %100 sure .   An hour or so ago I was doing some work on a roof ( maby 15-18 ft. ) If I were no longer alive I would just float down .  If I had passed on , my foot would go right through the acl. , or break peddle , my hands would not be able to turn the streaning wheel  while driving .

... I'd like to think that if I was hit by a car and died... I'd know it. 

Who knows though...
It's not like you're actually LIVING right now anyway, right? 

To me, dying seems just like falling asleep and waking up elsewhere.

i i often curious about death too. Like, will you ever know if you are really gone in the time you die?
