Hi Osiris,

Thanks very much for the post. I know next to nothing about the issue you mention. Where does one go to learn of any studies that might have been done along these lines?

Greetings everyone,

I don't know about the USA, but in Britain all water supplies are treated with flourine, so anyone drinking tap water, which is everyone, is also ingesting significant flourine for a lifetime.

With best regards,

Adrian.

Greetings Nick,

Here is a few links http://www.mercola.com/2000/sept/10/green_tea_fluoride_thyroid.htm
http://www.garynull.com/Documents/Dental/Fluoride/fluoride_index.htm

And there is another link  related to the water treatment http://www.npwa.freeserve.co.uk/H2O.html

I do drink a lot of mineral water which has a low F content.
I used tap water only to prepare tea. Now I stick with Santa Croce or analog. No more fluoride tea with same kind of water[:)]

P.S Thanks Adrian for your valuable comment .

Yours,

Osiris.

Hey

A lot of conspiracy people can be heard murmuring late into the night on message boards hidden in dark corners of the net [:)], about the dangers of fluoride, and its being put into the drinking water apparently to "help us and our teeth" is total trash. Apparently its just dumped there as a way to get rid of it, in the full knowledge that it makes you really ill but does nothing for your teeth. But, I am sure there would be other places to get rid of the stuff. So, if it is true, then its another one of the methods of making the population ill/dead, like chemtrails.
I think its a product/necessarily part of atomic energy plants/bombs/something like that.
I haven't looked into the topic too much, but there are some interesting articles out there. Too tired to look now though [:(] been moving house and lots of other tiring stuff....

Hi Adrian,

I alway thought that the water in Britain was treated with flouride too but i read in a magazine that the government were planning 2 add it 2 the water in britain???
I also said that other countries like france and germany won't allow it 2 b added 2 their water because it can cause long term health problems.

Nick

Thanks for those exceptional links Osiris! There is certainly much information there. We really have to look out for ourselves.

Adrian, I'm under the impression that in the USA it is done on a state by state basis. According to what I've just read in a flouride related website, California (where I live) is one of the least floridated states.

At home we have a delivery system that comes every two weeks with a filtration tank. Supposedly, this takes a lot of nasty business out of the drinking water. However, I have to check on what it does to flouride levels.

Even bottled water must be scrutinized. Whew, who would have ever thought that a clean glass of water would be so hard to come by?

Nick, you are right in the US it is done on a state level.  I have never checked to see how much Arizona has but I think that it is quite a bit compared to other states.  I love pure water and that is why I constucted my own water filter to clean my water til it sparkles.

Thank you Osiris for bringing this to my attention.  I had never heard about this before.  Darn! One more test that I have to do on my water[xx(].

I just wanted to point out that the links do not corroborate calcification of the pineal gland ... just that fluoride can accumulate there.

Nick

Links Shadow,

Thanks for the "heads up" on Arizona. My wife and I are seriously considering a relocation to Flagstaff in about a year. We'll definitely look into filtration, although I don't think I have the ability to construct my own. I've been using Culligan here in CA but they are expensive, so maybe I'll learn.

Greetings Grigori,

Here is an extract from PubMed publication
quote:
Increased pineal calcifications and decreased pineal melatonin biosynthesis, both age related, support the notion of a pineal bio-organic timing mechanism. Decreased calcium ion availability is the single common denominator of diminished beta-postreceptor- and alpha-receptor-stimulating functions in beta-receptor potentiation, which is necessary for nocturnal peak melatonin production. A comprehensive framework for the interaction of aging pineal cell mechanisms, calcium flux and melatonin biosynthesis is presented.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?cmd=Retrieve&db=PubMed&list_uids=8244046&dopt=Abstract

Decreased pineal melatonin is related to the level of fluoride in the pineal gland.

Yours,

Osiris.

Hmmmm ok, I'm new here and don't want you to take this as an atack ... honestly I don't know much about this topic ... but it's not clear to me why fluoride would be directly linked to decreased levels of melatonin. In particualr how fluoride contributes to calcification of the pineal gland. The abstract indicated that calcification is age related ... are you suggesting that the calcificatioin is actually formation of calcium fluoride and that increased fluoride levels are generating an apparent increase in the pineal age?

Oh and thankz for reposting!

Osiris

Greetings,

Here is link that might answer your questions related to the level of fluoride and the pineal calcification

http://www.icnr.securesites.com/jluke/FluorideDeposition.htm

Here is a short quote from results section
quote:
Pineal fluoride and pineal calcium were directly correlated

To get the information sometimes one have to read between the lines,
becouse it`s hard to find any information related to this issue directly.

quote:
Jennifer Luke, Ph.D., found that the pineal gland attracts fluoride, and, thereby, interferes with melatonin's functions.(180)
http://www.garynull.com/Documents/Dental/Fluoride/fluoride13.htm

Here is the quote from Jennifer Luke research
quote:
Research is presently underway to discover whether fluoride affects pineal physiology during childhood: specifically pineal synthesis of melatonin

To summarize I do suggest that the fluoridation of water causing exessive accumulation of the fluoride in the pineal gland. That in turn increases the calcification of the pineal gland, and decreases amount of melatonine.

P.S I don`t treat your post as attack, it is absolutely legitimate question. Thanks for showing interest and taking your time to research the subject!

Yours,

Osiris.

Thanxz for the links! I'm a chemist and I did some basic literature research on fluoride in the water though it was only to determine whether it actually helped prevent cavities (the answer by the wasy is generally no and it seems to be responsible for many cases of fluoridosis and gingivitas). Anyhow, your post here was the first I've seen suggesting a link to the pineal gland.

I agree that some hypothesising is needed when interpreting the studies ... the first link indicates that there is no direct correlation with long term fluoride exposure ...
quote:
There was no corTelation between pineal fluoride and bone fluoride. Therefore, unlike bone, pineal fluoride concentrations are not indicators of long-term fluoride exposure and body burden. Pineal fluoride, however, was significantly correlated with pineal calcium.

... but then there were only 10 subjects, with a wide range of concentations and no apparent control (someone who never drank fluoridated water) ... so that is certainlu not conclusive.

The second link does bring up some interesting posibilities and provides a plausible rationale for the apparent increase in insomnia cases as well as the earlier-than-usual onset of puberty.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention! it's really quite fascinating [:)]

So what about those fluoride treatments you get at the dentist? You know, where they take the cherry flavored stuf and put it on your teeth and you aren't allowed to eat/drink for a half hour? Are they safe?

Also, anyone have a link to a site where I can find out if my state has fluoridated (is that a word?[:P]) tap water?

Osiris

Greetings Panabelle,

Here is a link http://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/preview/mmwrhtml/mm5107a2.htm

According to the data Rhode Island water contains following  levels of fluoride (0.7--1.2 ppm). This data related to the public drinking water.

Here is a link which has some information related to your first question http://www.fluoridealert.org/f-teeth.htm#7

For a moment our body going trought the different transformations, and therefore one can have ability to neutralize the effects of fluoride by using different energy methods. Also some people using radionic devices for this purpose.  It`s hard to completely escape fluoridation by using conventional methods and not so necessary. Yet it`s good to minimize one exposure to the excessive amounts of fluoride by applying knowlege provided.

Yours,

Osiris

You'll absolutely love Flagstaff.  It is right in the middle of the most beautiful part of the state.  As I recall, Flagstaff's water is better than most of the state, it has been a while since I have been there. Each city is in charge of filtration and I think Flagstaff's is more thorough than the southern part of the state where I live.

Nick

Links Shadow,

Thanks for the insight on Flagstaff. Everyone we met when we were there in July said they loved it. We took the "Grand Canyon Railway"  from Williams to the Grand Canyon and met someone from "Flag" on the train. She was enthusiastic about living in Flagstaff too. So, we're excited. We're returning there in early October and will start looking at homes and real estate. We plan on moving, if all goes according to plan, by next summer.

Glad to hear that the water filtration is thorough in Flagstaff. Hopefully it will get better where you live soon, though it's great you made your own water filter.

Thanks again! [:)] Very best,

You should probably look into it for yourself but from what I've read they are not horribly unsafe but typically not needed. If you have receding gum lines without gingivitis then a flouride treatment can be beneficial. The problem is in how much flouride your teeth need for optimum hardness without becoming brittle (fluoridosis). What makes this question even more difficult to answer is that everyone needs a different ammount and some drugs especially when taken by young people create very soft teeth. This is true of some neurological drugs.

Anyhow if anyone has gingivitis just avoid fluoride if you can help it.

Osiris

Greetings,

Here is a message that I read recently on one of the forums
quote:
fluoride slowly calcifies the pineal gland and destroys it, and since it is the master gland of the endocrine system, the immune system is compromised

I do think that could be a case.

I knew long time ago that the green and black teas contains a large amount of fluoride. Before I did trust dentists who where promoting fluoride and green tea as a very good stuff to keep your teeths healthy. No I would be very suspicious about health benefits of the fluoride toothpaste and black/green tea for one who is not a dentist[:)]

Osiris.
