For those of you 2012, tenth planet buffs

I kind of figured this would happen eventually.

What most people don't realize today is that even seeing the other planets orbiting the sun, the already known ones, requires quite a bit of skill, and most require effective use of rules of a telescope (the $200+ ones folks). It's not like they jump out at you and say "Hey! Look at me! I'm Uranus! Hahaha!" Sorry bad joke, but seriously, it isn't peanut butter jelly sandwiches, or even a cold cut trio.

Give them a little credit for their diligent skill and effort. Don't laugh at them because it took them this long. Pray for them to find out even more.

Nono dont get me wrong, i think that its amazing that they found it, i mean, they say we would normally only have 48 hours notice before a near earth object actually hits us due to how little light they put out.  I say good job nasa
I did some crappy calculations and IF the object was traveling direcly towards earth at the same speed earth is moving (very unlikely) it would reach us in around 106 years.  I'm interested to see what else NASA finds out about this, the more detailed info is supposed to go on the web at like 1 pm.
This also assumes the earth stays completely still which we know it wont, i'm no physicist

its just nasa slowly breaking out the news that A. there are many, many more planets in out solar system alone. B. we are NOT the only intelligent life on this planet.

anyhow, I think  Ive been completly tainted by sitchin and the picture of the mars face.   Like seriously WTF is that face doing there? and don't F'''n tell me its a "natural" phenomenon.

and why the heck is nasa changing the mars picture colours? and why is it also saying the average temperatures on mars is -75 celcius?

anyhow screw nasa, Im making my own rocketship before nasa can get their hands on alien technology, even though we are the aliens Blah blah blah,

ANYHOW, its all just a slow way to ease the  (recent)human population into realizing we are not alone.

we are just a bunch of children amnesiacs who've forgotten our great great great grandfathers.

Aye, volcomstone's post is what I was trying to avoid. No one knows if they were hiding anything, and I have a feeling they sort of were and weren't at the same time.

A good example of what I'm getting at is the rough draft of a novel. If it's not error/grammar checked and properly looked over by an editor, it won't go into print as is. Aka - if all they have is good guesses and predictions as to what something is, then they won't distribute it to the public for them to mock NASA for their poor work. Now that they've gotten to a point where it can be almost proven that this distant orbiting object exists via telescopic or radio transmissions, they're more willing to discuss it.

If they have been hiding the info, I'd like to see you try to prove that they have, anybody. I can't and am unwilling to try; I have more important things to work on.

Like I just posted on another topic, I wouldn't get this confused with Nibiru. If they decide to put this insignificant ball of ice on the official list of major planets, Nibiru would be the 11th. It's just a ball of ice. It was actually detected and reported on earlier this year.

Scientists aren't even calling it a planet just yet, so lets not jump to any conclusions.  So far all we know is that it's there, but everything else is speculations based on punching numbers.  Give them a little time to learn more.

Oh VOLCOMSTONE, IT'S A NATURAL THING.  If you would be keeping up with "the face" of Mars you would know that it doesn't look like that anymore.  It's eroded away almost completely.  Think of it like a sand dune.

Actually, and maybe interestingly, I recently read an article from www.sitchin.com that the latest pictures of the Face were taken right after a global sandstorm on Mars, and NASA knew well of this. I don't think Sitchin would make something like that up. If he did he would be finally opening his work up to ridicule, (of a reasonable kind, at least []) of which I've yet to hear of. So, in time, I suppose the Face will go back to looking like it did in the late 1970's. How inaccurate could that first pic have been, anyway?

I'm not completely sure if this has been posted on any of the forums yet, but nasa announced they found the furthest near earth object ever, they claim it is possibly a tenth planet orbiting, you guessed it, our solar system.  Here's the link, im sure we'll know more soon
