Title: Getting to sleep
Post by: kozzi on July 21, 2003, 12:08:28
I had the same problem as you.  Do you smoke cigarettes?  If so, you might want to quit.  If not, then just be patient and keep trying.  It took me a couple of months of trying every night for at least 3 hours a night before I finally had an OBE.  It just takes more patience for some people.  By the way, don't take sleeping pills...  they could also be causing your insomnia!!!

Good luck,
Kozzi

Take a MELATONIN pill before you sleep. Its neurotransmitter that your brain makes. Take it everyday for a week (with no other sleeping pills) before you give up.

If you'd like to try something a little different, like a CD, there is a good one called Sound Sleep from a website called Brain Sync and costs $14.95 (USD). It has Delta waves masked by music. If you listen for a bit at bedtime you should have a good night's sleep, and perhaps some interesting dreams as well.

Here's a quote:

"Long, slow, undulating. Delta is the slowest of all four brain wave frequencies. Most commonly associated with deep sleep, certain frequencies in the Delta range also trigger the release of Human Growth Hormone so beneficial for healing and regeneration. This is why sleep - deep restorative sleep - the kind that Delta frequencies help induce is so essential to the healing process.

Delta is the brain wave signal of the subconscious, the seat from which intuition arises. That means Delta-based programs are not only an ideal choice for their sleep and deep regeneration potential, but also when you want to access your unconscious activity and help that wellspring of information flow to your conscious mind for clearing and for empowerment. Delta waves range between 0-4 HZ."

Hello all,
I am a major insomniac, due to a chemical imbalance, and of corse this interferes with projection, either i lay on my back for hours wishing my body would sleep, and eventually loosing concentration, or i take a sleeping pill, and i have very heavy, uneventful sleep.

Does anyone know of any herb or root or substance that premotes sleep without interfering with projection???

Thanks!!!
