David Lanz, anything by him. It's all piano music so no words.

You can check out some of those sounds of nature cds. They are pretty cheap and they sell all kinds of diff. ones. You can find them in alot of stores.

Ive got quite a few of them. Some of my favs are sounds of the amazon and thunderstorm. And I also have whale sounds and dolphins,Those 2 are kind of trippy. But still very relaxing.

Thank you, Alpha.  So...is the whales & dolphins cd a solid 45 minutes of whales & dolphins?  Do you fall asleep listening to it?

Im not sure exactly how long they are,And think some of them could be longer than that.

That whales and dolphins are 2 diff ones. They are called swim with the dolphins and symphony of whales.Yes I have fell asleep with them.As long as I keep it at a  resonable volume.

If you ever heard a whale there not exactly quiet animals. But the sounds seem to have kind of a soothing effect on me.

Ive also got ocean surf which I like alot.
They also sell cds where all the tracks on them are like diff. samples of what they have to offer.Than you can decide if you would like the whole cd or not.

Kelly Howell (Brain Sync) has a binaural for sleeping. It uses delta wave frequencies, which are supposed to cause growth hormones to be secreted. I don't know how effective it is, exactly. Getting to sleep is never a challenge for me. The trick is to stay awake.

Hmmm....which brings to mind......doesn't the Monroe Institute have something for sleep?  I think I need to look again.   Not that we really need a sleep BOOST, though, but just want the option to put on something pleasant.  Btw.......growth hormones???!!!  (What grows?  Brain stuff?)

The trick for me is to find the middle ground.  If I just go to sleep to sleep, no problem usually.  But if I go to sleep with a mind to get body asleep and keep mind awake, what usually happens is that body gets uncomfortable after 45 minutes, give or take 10 or 15, and then half the time I can't get mind OR body to sleep for some time longer.     A few partial obe experiences have happened, almost always after falling asleep totally, and there have been dreams of having an obe.

Hi.  I would much appreciate it if any of you would post what you have for a favorite tape or cd that you use for going to sleep.  My wife and I love Deuter's "Nada Himalaya", (lotsa bonging, binging, longtime vibrating bells), and have played it over and over.  It was quite a while before she heard the end of the cd because she always fell asleep before the end of it.  This kind of cd doesn't keep one's mind awake  with musically "chatty"  themes, much less startle you out of hypnogogia with raucous outbursts, know what I'm saying?  So if you highly recommend anything along a similar vein, thanks in advance!
