Magic Mushrooms and Focus 21

There has been extensive discussions of Monroe's work here, the latest umder the "Astral Conciousness" heading. Also some discussions about mushrooms, seems like whatever takes you out of your regular rutines works to some extent, but it is far better to have obe's without chemicals-better control of the experience cause you need to have your mental state calm to have a good experience.I had an interview tape with Monroe where he talked about aliens, but I don't remember exactly what he said and the tape is hiding from me.

Howdy folks...

This is my first post, &  in fact this is the first time I have visited this Forum.  What led me here was I just purchased Robert Bruce's "Psychic Self-Defense" book Friday & just started reading it last night.  I bought the book because I got really creeped out a couple weeks ago when an old lava lamp I had just discarded at home had it's light bulb removed overnight and neither I nor my girlfriend were the one's who removed it.  We have no kids or anyone else around who could have done it.  I had discarded the lamp on a Friday because I could not get the light bulb out of the socket to replace it, couldn't even get my fingers around it to get a proper grip to unscrew it!  The next Saturday morning I was out in the garage waiting for my girlfriend to come out of the house as we were going to the store, and I saw the lamp sitting on a pile of junk to be taken to the dumpster and decided to try once more to get the bulb out.  It wasn't there.  Pretty weird. I got Robert Bruce's book just in case there's some sort of poltergeist or other sort of similar activity going on in the new house we just moved into.

On a different note, I am wondering if there are any Bob Monroe aficionados out there, as I have been using the Monroe Institute Gateway series CDs for several years now in an attempt to have an OBE.  So far I have (at least to my knowledge)  been unsuccessful in the attempt.  They recently came out with a 7th set of CDs which deal with what Bob called Focus 21/Locale 2.  Has anyone out there had any experience with this latest set that they might be able to relate to me?  Or explain the relationship of Focus 21 to Locale 2?  I think that Focus 21 is the state can lead to Locale 2 (which is supposed to be a plane or dimension of non-human awareness).  Can anyone expand on this a bit for me?  I've been using the Focus 21 Free Flow CD quite a bit lately, but do not seem to be making a whole lot of progress with it.  

Also, would anyone have any comments, advice, or suggestions about using magic mushrooms with Monroe Hemi-Sync materials, or to help facilitate astral travel in general?  I've been contemplating trying that as a means to jump-start the OBE process after being introduced to some of Terence McKenna's ideas & experiences, god rest his soul...

Also, would be highly interested in finding out if anyone has seen any so-called "aliens" in any of their OBEs.  I know that Bob Monroe had said in his last book that he never encountered any 3-dimensional "aliens" in any of his OBEs, but that he had encountered many non-physical aliens in his travels.  Which begs the question, "If there are no 3-dimensional aliens (ones who exist in 3-dimensional space-time), then what is it that seems to be flying those damned crafts about & responsible for the countless "abduction" reports?"  Seems incongruous to me.
