green man in scotland!

hi sorry i put this here but i cant find a place to post unrelated topics on this site.

when i was about 11 i was in my friends house staying overnight cant remember what we were doing but suddenly there was a powercut through all the streets where i live so we went downstairs his dad lit candles etc then he suggested me him and his sister go out for a while with the dog and torches just around the street so his sister got one of her mates and we went round to the path behind his street where theres a field next to you, so we walked down the path he had a torch and so did his sis, and his sis and her friend were quite ahead of us,
and on the right as you go down the path theres like a mini forest and you come to an alcove that takes you through it and out to the field but we stopped right at that alcove and shined the torch up to the shy because you could actually see it hit the clouds then he shined it into the trees.
and there was this green being it had its legs bent and its hands were touching the ground it seemed to have warts all over the same colour as its skin and im sure if it stood up it would be 9 or 10 feet tall possibly bigger.

it was there for about 1 second and dissapeared as quickly as the scene changes in a film.

just thought id mention this and see if anyone else had seen anything like this or heard anything or if you could even get info on it ive done a lot of searches to no avail.

I've been interested in the green man, I'm so glad someone has brought something up about him! I've been looking for stuff on sightings and green man lore, but its hard to find. Of the stuff I've read there were only one or two sightings, and they sounded like hoaxes. I did find one website that looks pretty reliable, though its mostly facts on where the green man is seen in legends of different cultures, but it does have a book list. I haven't been able to find any of the books yet, but one of them is bound to have something on other sightings and other stuff that would help explain what you saw. Here's the sight:

yeah it was in my mates street in cumbernauld about a 30 second walk fromhis house if u took the short route
