in the last presidential election in the states I wrote in Jesus Christ for president. Unfortunately he didn't win.
Well, last night's results were disappointing... to say the least.
39% of Canadians voted for our Conservative Party to a Majority government, which pretty much means that they can do whatever they want.
To put this in American-ese... we just re-elected George Bush for another FULL term. >_<
We're so screwed. Get ready for Canada to become the 52nd state.
Voting is like re-arranging deck chairs on the titanic, It's all an illusion of choice. Politicians who aren't bought and payed for don't get elected, simple as.

in hindsight, i'm thinking bush looks pretty good. there's just something i don't trust about obama. at least with bush i felt like i knew he was an idiot. obama looks too sly. i don't like that. but hey, that was the plan the whole time. bad cop out first, then by comparison good cop looks a lot better, but they're both still cops working for the same people.
Well, we did have one breakthrough... our Canadian Green Party finally managed to garner a single seat in the House of Commons.
It went to our Party Leader, Elizabeth May. \o/
Aye, and take recent events for example, in 2012 do you think people will remember Obama as the president that didn't fulfill a single one of his pre-electorate promises, or will he be remembered as the president who canned Osama Bin Laden? This will undoubtedly guarantee his re-election since he's running for a second term. The timing of this malarkey screams political agenda to me.
I've always wondered why despite the fact the people in power change, their policies rarely do. We're still war mongering, supporting Israel, not auditing the federal reserve, losing freedom after freedom in the name of security ect. I can't help but feel like it's a false left/right paradigm, people in power being puppeteered by the International bankers, and other corporate interests, but that's another topic i guess.
