I am working on a site which I offer opinions on the Ghost Hunter's (TAPS) evidence. The user has to decide what to believe in.

Yep, I have. I'm just going to be putting this site out for everyone else. And I am hoping to make some dollars with Adsense.
Well... that will probably only work for as long as the show is current- which won't be for long.

It's one of my favourite shows. I watch it online all the time when new eps come on.
Fake or not... it's entertaining.

But you do have to admit that if it is fake, it is very irresponsible, if only for the fact that it would further take away credibility from people who were legitimately researching what they believed to be a real phenomenon, which is unfortunate.
Having a hoax in your line of work obviously does not reflect on you, but it does further strain people's tendency to be open minded about an idea.
For instance, if, for example, TAPS is a hoax... it allows you to conclude... TAPS is a hoax. And very little else.
The way people generally think however, whould be, "If TAPS is a hoax... then I bet a bunch of other researchers in the field are perpetrating a hoax... possibly all of them... this is clearly only something fools consider."

I agree, because obviously, as you said, it would cast doubt
from others on the TAPS organization. And, naturally, as the progression goes... down to us Astral Projectors (metaphysics).
And I disagree, because it doesn't matter to me one bit what
other people think about them... or, to extend this even further, to myself. :)

I'm with the OP, FAKE. The first season they were really trying to be honest, but they found out real quick that a show that consist of nothing but people walking around chatting it up without Ghost activity can make for a crappy show. They are listed as a Docudrama which means.. Oh yeah, we can make up stuff so the drama is elevated and I think that means they also work off of a small script. If you notice every time something was seen, Jason and Grant are always "alone".... and it's always a "personal" experience. They sold out, period. I think they had good intentions at the very beginning but greed won out... of course.
Here's a great video showing Grant trying to pull off a live hoax, but the cameras do not lie. What a bunch of maroooons... :roll: All these stupid paranormal shows tick me off, because they are all fake. "Ghost hunting" is not exciting and when they try and make every little sound a ghost or demon.. Arrrgghhh.. Oh, and don't get me started on all the dust particles, moisture particles and bugs that get caught on tape, being called spirits. :evil:

Yeah, I think it would fit in with psychic and paranormal. But 99% of psychic and paranormal stuff is probably bogus.
I only saw one episode of a "ghost hunters" type show, and the 2 baffoons would get all excited and start running when nothing was happening. I don't think I made it through the whole episode. That show with Jennifer Love Hewitt was more realistic.
When I watch them online, I generally just fast forward to the reveal where they show the evidence. lol

Well, I am sure the people themselves do, but in the interest of making a television show, they throw in anything and overdramatize the slightest non-occurance.
