Title: He doesn't believe there is such thing.
Post by: Sploosh on February 26, 2005, 21:28:03
My dad doesn't think there is a thing called 'Sleep Paralysis' or so this is what it seems.  Because, I was talking to him and he says, "How do you know that it's just a dream and you think your in sleep paralysis?"

Could this be true? oO;

When it occurs, the way to break out of it is to avoid an emotional reaction to it (resisting it makes it stronger) and to just focus on one part of your body. The big toe on one foot makes the best choice. Focus on nothing but moving it. When it moves, and it is the easiest part to move, the paralysis is broken.

You are defiantly not just dreaming.

There is a big difference if you dream it and if it is real... and anyone who felt it know that was not a dream beyond a doubt.

BTW sleep paralysis is something that is not strange to humans, I have heard of it even when I was a kid.

Do it matter that he doesn't believe it?  Just concentrate on what your experiencing and work with that. It's not worth worrying too much about working to too many other people's beliefs :-) Just try out stuff, find what works for you.

The others are right i would say from my own experience
