Hi everyone !
This is the first forum i have ever joined. I must say that reading about everyone's experiences (and questions) is a really enlightning :-). I have a question and any replies are welcome...
Do you think being the 'real you' is important to acheiving OBEs and other psychic abilities? For example if you pretend to be something you are not will this hamper will progess ? The answer seems obvious, but I would just like a general opinion from all of you.
Another question: Does progressing with all of these things help your confidence at all ? i.e becoming more the real you and less fake !
Thanks alot !
Hi,
You could be asking:
Can the choice of lifestyle affect how you are able to develop a meditation process and to progress as a result?
During my lifetime, there have been periods when trying to maintain a meditation conducive lifestyle has been very challenging.
In a way, confirmations start out as being fake. You're trying to be something you're not. But then when you achieve a change, then it's no longer "fake".
If you go to University intending to gain a degree and to become a professional, are you a fake because you're trying to become something you're not?
If your philosophy is fatalistic, then whatever you are is what you are meant to be.
If you believe that existence is really ultimately a timeless nonlinear sequence of experiences, then everything is real and an illusion at the same time. :-D (just kidding, I put in that last line because it souded cool at the moment)
I moved this post here as it wasn't specific to OBEs, but rather spanned several categories.
