Hello friends,

I just got an email from a dear friend who is doing his best to make a difference in the world.  He just set me this email and asked me if I could spread the word.  He is going to Romania in October/November to raise money for children in the AIDS orphanages and has asked me to get the word out regarding his project.  Here is an excerpt from the email he sent me and here is a picture of one of the paintings he has done of these kids:  

I am heading to Romania for October and maybe most of November. There is asmall museum there that is going to exhibit my herkus. Anyway, the primary purpose for going is to take the first steps toward developing an intercultural artist and writer exchange, that will have a web presence (galleries and anthologies available through print-on-demand). The profits are going to go to help support some of the AIDS orphanages there (which I will visit in person, thus the reason for the long trip).

Here is how you can help: if you can ask your friends or contacts to
stop my my website, it would be most appreciated, because I am going to have a large HerkuFleurku sale to finance the trip. The Herkus are going to be 18X12 inches ($40 plus $5 shipping), or really large ones on a special order basis, (up to 36X24) $250 plus $10 shipping).

Anyway, it is a good cause, and should lead to quite an amazing
experience for everyone involved.
