Fluoride in the water

I'm sure many of you have read about this... Or have heard things. I am trying to look for a filter. Do you think it's worth it? I drink A LOT of water a day. At least a gallon. My city just released a not saying we contain over 2... something of flouride in the water. It said we are below 4... something so I am not at risk, but they stated in large amounts it can cause bone disease. First of all why are they doing this? I have heard of fiji water... I really just don't want to pay for my water. I miss the days when you could just drink healthy water whenever you wanted.

Do any of you have filters or know much about this? I wouldn't be too worried but like I said it's prettymuch all I drink. Or organic lemonade etc. Thanks guys.

I would say take a sample of water to a lab , or mail a sample . See if there is just fluoride , or there are other things in the water . They will give you an idea of the kind of filer to use .  Home depot , Lowes , ect. sell them , or you can have a plumber install one .

My advice, don't worry about it.  It will have no impact upon your metaphysical life.

Filters such as a Brita water filter does NOT remove fluoride. 
The only way you can remove it is with expensive filtration systems.

Oh and don't think boiling water will remove it... because it won't, and all it does is boil off the water, concentrating the fluoride even higher.

Either work on having it removed from your local water supply... or don't worry about it.

I dont know if you have these where you live , around hear we have water machines . You can get filtered water for .25 cents. a gal. Its simpler and cheaper than a whole house water filter .

If its just a small amount of fluoride , then you may be ahead not to worry about it

I probably wont worry about it... Life here is too short to try and get rid of everything that's out there. I do have non fluoride toothpaste so that's a start aye?

I suppose with your mind alone you can conquer what it does to you anyway. I just was shocked when they said it can cause bone disease and here I am drinking it.  

And Xanth yeah I have a filter down here but it only removes chemicals. I was shocked to see studies show there is Prozac floating around in our water. It's just a cheap filter...

Have any of you heard of bottled Fiji water?

If Fiji water doesn't use fluoride I could purchase those especially for when I am on the road.
