Every day? Every other day? Week? Month? Year? How long does it last? Can you do it whenever you like? Etc I do it every morning or every other morning.
You can project as many times in a day or week as you want, the only bad thing is if you do it too much during the night it can mess with your sleep cycle. I've projected up to 5 times in a day. It can last pretty long, in the astral world the time is different, 10 min there could be like an hour here; but for me I usually only stay for 5-30 min astral time, it varies. People more experienced can stay longer. If your just starting it will be more like 1-5 min.
there is a little trick for afternoons. just have an hour or 1 1/2 hour of Pre sleep (no dream sleep). Then wait for about an hour or 1 1/2 hour and try inducing projection/falling asleep in the verge of councioussness. You'll project so easily that its ridiculous :-P, worst case, very clear dreams with clear memories afterwards. Someone here taught me this.
As I see it, you can project as often and as much as you like, as long as it is comfortable for you.
Personally, I don't think their is anything to worry about with "over-projecting" unless it actually causes problems for you, in that case, I advise taking it easy. :)
Personally, I never have had complications with projecting daily, or having multiple projections the same morning. It is very much do-able, either way, there is nothing that is impossible ;)
