Title: I hate my higher self...
Post by: jilola on May 28, 2003, 05:04:17
Sorry to hear about the loss of your pet. [:(]

The trouble with higher self is that it doesn't tell us what we want to hear but what we need to hear, at least from its point of view.
The challenge is to see behind the message into the bit of learning being passed to us.

Just because the message turned out to be true doesn't mean it came from your Higher Self. In fact, if the message felt negative or disturbing it may have been from your subconscious (tuned into the future), another entity, etc. etc.

Risu no Kairu,
From the way I read your message it sounds like your higher self is not being negative, just factual.

Our higher selves, in my humble and sometimes misguided opinion, do not see things in an emotional way as our physical selves do. They tend to be a lot more objective, and see more of the "big picture".

James.

i agree w/ james.  since none of us know for sure about what happens when you die, it's not necessarily a bad thing that your pet died.  sure you will miss your cat, but to another part of you that knows that death is just another phase, it's not bad.

I've been trying to get into the whole energy development, astral projection and talking to the higher self thing for a while, now, and so far no success.

But, wouldn't you know it, the one time I actually hear my higher self tell me something, it's something negative.

My cat died around 4:19 AM today.

All night I was telling myself and hoping he'd get better when all of a sudden I hear "he won't."

I thought "Yes, he will. That can't be my higher self telling me this, it's got to be nagging doubt."

Next time, me, bring good news or don't say anything at all.
