Trust me man, I have experience full blown insomnia before and it SUCKS LIKE A HOOVER. Wait until a day BEFORE a day off, and stay up until 2 am or so, then take drugs to know yourself out, and then wake up on your own, without an alarm clock. This should reset your sleep cycle, being that it worked for me.

The brain sync cd's have helped me.  I used to rely on Over the counter sleeping pills but they made me more tired after a while.

One method that really works but requires more effort is exercising really hard for an hour a day or longer.  After a 8 mile bike ride I would sleep like a baby.. never failed.

I have had this problem 4 years. personally i don't think exercise works i weight train 3 times a week i used 2 train in an evening but i found that my sleep got worse when i did this. i now go 2 the gym at 7.30 am . i am self employed and work 70 hrs a week i usually go 2 bed between 2 and 3 am i am exhausted all the time but still i can't sleep. the funny thing is that i'm sure this is how i'm able 2 project because when i'm trying 2 sleep my body becomes totally relaxed and my mind is still quite active

Hi Mark,

There is a Brain Sync CD entitled Sound Sleep which is all Delta waves. I originally bought it ($14.95) so as to experiment with the Delta state. What I found was that, like the title says, I was headed for sound sleep. So this may be the CD for you.

Here's the link:

Very best,

Hypnotherapy has worked wonders for me.

I had the same problem for a long time. (years).  This also included not dreaming or not being able to recall dreams or even having the feeling of having had a dream.  Insanity was becoming the next logical step.

However I did some research on hypnosis and talked to a few people who provide the service and I said what the heck.  So now I am much better off because of it.

Granted this is not the solution for every one.  There could very well be a physical reason for it, pr even a psycological one like stress.  My problem feel into the "other" catagory and I seemed to know this, so hypnotherapy pretty much became my only step to getting rid of the problem.

But it worked.  I do have the occasional problem but they are few and far between and usually only related to stress.

I'm sick of never being completely awake and never being completely asleep..I do get some little bits of sleep here and there, but it's not good for me to struggle until 4 or 5 to get to sleep...Any thoughts? I used to be able to use my Awakened Minds cd, but I went for a stretch without using it and since I started again, it doesn't get me to sleep. I don't want to use drugs, as that makes me just as tired the next day as I'd be if I didn't sleep.

Thanks for any suggestions,

Mark
