That's a wonderful story Tisha!

When you first met this man was it a feeling that you'd known him always?
I love hearing about this kind of thing - a familiar spirit, or a twin soul.

A bit of precognition perhaps? I bet your wondering what is actually in this book? When you find out - do tell please!

I feel a lot of darkness on the forum at the moment. Your story is a happy ray of light.

Thanks,
James.

I agree Tisha, that's a fascinating story. It's wonderful, in a way, to consider the power and mystery of our dreams.

It's also something how we can feel such an instant connection to another person like that. I wonder, maybe it's because of a prior life relationship, or a nonphysical realm connection.

Finally, your post here is a bright one, and I share James' feelings. Thanks.

Thanks for the replies everyone - - To answer your question James - - - yes, it was very much like prerecognition, and we've concluded we must be soul mates.  I confused it with romantic love for many years (it's easy to do).

The book contained instruction on metaphysical matters.  Of course!  If I ever get to read it, I'll give everyone the scoop.

Unfortunately, last night I was plagued by insomnia!

Just moving my topic to the top of the heap . . . anyone else out there have "dream friends" or good dream stories?  I can't be the only one!

My dreams are frequently very wierd, very vivid, lots of flying, lots of "sorcerer" type abilities, you know, the usual "wishful thinking" type stuff.

There have been a few dreams in my life that I vividly recall, more recently one that contained a definite message to become proficient in the astral or psychic arts (for want of a better way of putting it)as something is due to occur in my life in 4 years (now 3)that I need to be ready for.

The other, the most memorable one was one in which I believe I was actually interacting with the ghost of a young woman who simply wanted to know what it was like to feel the love and companionship of someone before she left this realm. This "dream" which in the real world lasted only hours" spanned months in the dream world.

This is the only time I can recall that I believe my dream state was interfered with by an external source enough for me to be projecting into part of the astral beyond the normal dream state.

I still remember her very clearly, and remember how happy she was before saying goodbye to me, just before the dream finished and I awoke.

Hi all,

Just thought I'd share what I think is an interesting story.

Many years ago, just a kid out of high school, I met up with an (older) gentleman and felt an instant - - and I mean freakout-karmic - - - connection to him.  He felt the same, and to this date (we're good friends) we still haven't figured it all out.  We'll go years without seeing one another, and then all of a sudden we'll connect, and pick up a conversation as if we'd never left off.  We also share dreams. It's weird, in a wonderful kind of way.

Anyway, during the last week I've had two dreams about my friend, in which he's given me something.  In fact, the first was an erotic dream [:I] that he interrupted, looking pretty embarrassed, saying, "UM, excuse me, I don't want to interrupt, but I need to give you this," and he handed me a pretty large black book with what looked like a mandala on it.  In the second dream, he gave me what looked to be a manuscript in a page-protector.

I was musing over these dreams on the way home from work yesterday, and decided to pull out my cell phone and give him a call.  He answered on the first ring.  After the efflusive how-are-you's I told him I'd been having dreams about him giving things to me.  He said, "That's interesting, because I've been collecting things to give you!" [:O]

"Was it perchance a book?"  I asked.

"Yes . . ." [:O]

In fact the book more or less met the description in my dream.  He said a man who he did not recognize gave him a parcel and told him that he was to give it to me.  He looked inside the parcel and it was a large, dark brown, letter-bound book!  I'm presuming this happened in a dream.  With my friend, the veil between dream and reality is so thin I know better than to ask whether or not it was "real."  At any rate, isn't it a hoot?
