The sad reality is that the majority of people in the world do not think in ways that extend beyond protecting their insecurities and feeding their basic desires. The way the societies of the world tend to 'think' as a collective reflects the attitude of the majority, and the way most people think is essentially in terms of selfish survival. If you take the example of a stereotypical business person, their striving for a higher place in hierarchy and the collection of personal wealth is behaviorally no different than a person in a primitive hunter gatherer tribe. And even though our bodies have evolved over millions of years to allow an intelligence capable of creating powerful world shaping technologies, a single generation of people are yet to say together 'Stop! Lets all together stop thinking like primates and look after each other and this world we live in'. Because that's all we need – for everyone to agree to drop the sword and rewrite the way we think. The next step of our evolution is not one of anatomy and physiology taking millions of years, but a reform of our collective attitude taking a single generation. And while peace need only be that far away, the majority of people will let fear control them and keep thinking like monkeys.  I guess all you can do is evolve yourself, and touch the lives of the few prepared to listen.

I guess I missed the mark with talking about weapons of mass destruction, but hopefully I touched on the greater issue.

Did you know the Russians built enough biological weapons during the cold war to kill the world NINE times over?  
Why they did that is not even known to the head scientist that was in charge of the project.  They just did.  Of course, they secretly did this even after they signed a treaty banning all biological weapons.  In fact, the USA is one of the main reasons biological weapons exist.  The pioneered the field for a while before they realized what they were getting into, and when the finally did realize how awfully powerful and cheap they are, they stopped making them and wrote up the treaty banning them.  
I don't know if people know jut how devastating biological weapons are.  They're worse that nuclear weapons.  The initial blast is not as severe, but biological agents travel further than radiation.  Many many more people die overall in a biological attack than a nuclear attack.  
One thing about biological attacks is the attacker can choose how they want their enemy to suffer.  Just find the disease or virus that most suits your taste and launch it.  So scary.  Most of these situations aren't even considering a contagious virus.  When you introduce a highly contagious virus like smallpox, the amount of damage a biological attack can do is on the verge of incomprehensibility.

weapons of mass destruction were created as a means of power. power has always been the driving force for nations. even today, political and economic power are what nations desire.

having weapons of mass destruction ensures that physical power is in control of he who has the weapons. at least, that's what they thought when they first created it. now it has more to do with how MUCH physical power a nation has determines their physical power, just like before the weapons of mass destruction were created. and the cycle continues. "power is a trap. by taking power from those who have it, you must get even more in order to protect your back against those who seek yours." (something like that) -from a short story in the "Realms of Infamy" book by TSR.

problem here is we r a sick bunch of creatures.
Jealousy, hate, money and power.
now hate birns the war (purpose to make such weapons)
money is made by whoever can make the biggest bombs
and jealousy and power well explain themeselves realy

man kind has grown soo sick to completely discard morality for all of these.

Does it make anyone else sick just to try and comprehend why someone would want to create a "weapon of mass destruction". Seriously, what is the logic behind that idea? Bombs that can blow the world up more than once... wow i love those figures, that's like saying "You're getting 95 life sentances" ehhh ok? does that mean whenever you are reincarnated you have to go directly to jail do not pass go do not collect $200? ok back to the original idea, Why in the HELL would someone want to create weapons that would kill everyone? INCLUDING THE MORON THAT CREATED IT TO BEGIN WITH!!!!!! i'm so mad. yeah i know very little about history so someone please enlighten me as to why someone decided this would be a good idea. Did it start around the time of Hiroshima and Nagasaki? Guess i dont care as much about the history as I would like people to just freaking agree with me so i feel better. I'd also like to know why I'm up at 3 AM rambling about nonsense. k bye
