Brief Encounters of the Train Kind

Why hello fellow Astralians. I just felt like reiterating an interesting moment I shared with a stranger on the train one night. I'd fallen asleep on my way home, and woken up just before my stop. As I woke up, I looked across at a woman sitting to my right. She looked at me and said, "looks like you were dreaming." I didn't really think much of it, then she said, "looks like you're still dreaming", then she smiled at me as I got up and walked away. Afterwards I contemplated her words - even If she hadn't meant it in the connotation I'd afforded as a possibility - it still stimulated a tremendous amount of existential thought on my part. Especially after a long, drowsy train ride home. Has anyone else ever met anyone or had anyone say something to them that they may have triggered a deep level of thought within you? Or am I just a little 'odd'? Probably a mix of the two, I imagine.  :-P

CFTraveler

You're not 'odd', you're ''deep''- and some people actually like that.

While I have lots of "things" that happen in my life that make me ponder existentially (a LOT), I think I tend to be that other person sometimes.

However, I have this thing about me that makes some strangers unload deeply personal problems. I've heard things from people I've never met before that make me think "I can't believe they're saying this to a total stranger!", but I can always tell they feel better when they're done. And all I do is listen. Most of the time it makes my problems seem silly.

Anyways, on the original topic, it's like something brings the right person around at just the right moment, like all the stars are lined up just for you.

Thank you CFTraveller & Stookie. You know Stookie, a good friend of mine commented on that. He said how sometimes there will appear someone who will say the most poignant thing to you that subjectively just clicks - and the most intriguing thing about it all is that from the outset they probably have no idea how conducive what they're saying to you is at the time. A good friend of mine. He actually told me a lot about his experiences with dreams - in particular lucid dreams (WARNING: OFF TOPIC CONVERSATION APPROACHING). One day he mentioned reading a 'book', that had 'everything' in it while lucid dreaming. He struggled to find the words, but I think I understood. He mentioned that the pages were hard to read, with geometric patterns and something about a triangle. I told him about something called the Book of Life, aka Akashic Records. He was amazed that there was this objective view that existed which made at least some sense in regards to his experiences. It was good that we met. I provided and expounded to the best of my limited ability the theory behind different cultural & theological backgrounds which complimented some of the experiences he had had with what he considers lucid dreaming. It'd be great if he had a computer, I think he'd feel right at home here. It's definitely a good place for me to bounce ideas off. Most of the time I find silence is a more suitable posture to adopt. So thank you for listening, as always, kind sages.

I have that kind of thing happen all the time. I'll have particular subjects come up through some strange means. A lot of random books I pick out tend to bring up important subjects that are currently happening in my life. Or a friend might tell me a story that coincidentally fits in with something else. To me this is straight-up, undeniable, universal communication from "beyond". The more you click with it, the more you live it. And it blows an "11:11" out of the water - no superstition involved, as real information is gained, nothing to be assumed. :)
