99% of you here have never seen a war up close except on yer damn tv, video games, etc. You have no conception of the pain and misery. There is no glory in war. What little patriotism is simply a hollow farce to fool those who cannot handle the pain.

I'm sick of DBZ, yughi-oh, pokemon and all the other anime CRAP that glorifies violence and war.

Work on bettering yourselves spiritually to become better people. Stop pretending you can make ball of energy pop out of your 3rd eye and kill some imaginary demon. I'll admit pretend is fun but real life is a hell of a lot harder and more rewarding.

No offense, but most of the people posting about this are quite young..yes, I know, I know..Don't bring up the age thing, but in my opinion, age has alot to do with what is going on here.  

I have been there, believe it or not...You are searching for something to hold onto... something to make your life seem..ummmmmmm..bigger than what it is.  Everyone of you on this forum IS special..tis why you are here.

I would first like to say that I am no believer in a astral-physical merger or none of this nonsense.  However xander you have something wrong there, from what I understand.  I'm not sure who said it but I remember a fairly respected user (I believe it was Frank) say that he would often project to the lower planes and that in the lower planes there is a continual war.  Please do correct me if I'm wrong though.

I know I'm a newby here and should probably keep my mouth shut but I am also a mother and look at things with a mother's eye.

I don't know the whole story behind what's going on here but I think what I gather is; a forum and some threads have been shut down because some of the younger posters here are taking a comic seriously and there are one or more people thinking they need to recruit others into some astral battle they perceive.

My children read those comics. They don't take them as seriously as some of you but I read them too just to see what has caught their interest and I play their card games with them.

Three years ago my daughter age 11 thought I was nuts because she walked in on me talking to a ghost, and found out that I believe in spirit worlds. She thought her dad was nuts when he told her about a fairy he saw on a mountain. She also thought her little brother was nuts because he sees spirits and ghosts. Last year after she read Shaman King she came up to me and asked, "Mom have you ever touched a ghost, and have you ever been in the spirit world? I said, "Yes" and she said, "Mom you are a shaman." (I've never cllaimed to be one) She started showing an interest in my tarot so I gave her a deck. She no longer thought I was nuts.

In some ways I think it is great that these comics are opening peoples minds to the astral worlds but I do think the books condition them into accepting violence and war. It is a way of desensitization. I make my children aware when the media, cartoons, movies, they watching is often designed to mold them into warriors and sometimes bigotry to other cultures.

We humans have big egos. We forget we were born to take care of this living being whom we call earth. We battle each other like a disease that pit's the immune system against itself. Our real demons are our own greed, hatred, fear, and gluttony. To battle the real demons we should learn to clean up the earth and pick up our mess instead of continue with the path of destruction.

The best weapon for hate is love and compassion. A desire to heal the haters and to wish that they transform into compassionate creatures. That is my approach to existence in both the spirit and physical worlds.

I think it is to bad that threads have been locked and a forum shut down. Is there a way you folks could reach a compromise?

I have always felt like stories and books come to life and become other worlds in this infinite universe. I have had stories in the Sandman comics come to life for me in my dreams and Charles de Lint novels. I guess in a way I understand why some people love their comics and have had them come to life for them. It has opened up a door to other worlds for them.

I also think that those of you who take these battles so seriously to be respectful that not everyone will sees or can relate to your perspective. It is not healthy to become obsessive and fanatical about anything really.

I too am a mother, of three, and my older son watches this stuff.  He knows the difference.  When I say the difference I mean..reality and non-reality.  I have spoken with him about many things...couldn't help it, my life has been full of the "paranormal".  Stems all the way back to a great grandmother...(I think further, but can't get a confirmation on that one.)

I think it is unhealthy for kids to focus so much energy on something, so.....evil.  Why is it so bad for people to think of good and the wonderful side of the mysterious things that are around us?  Why do so many focus on the negative?  I honestly want to know..

You brought up egos..I think this is a great point.  Egos...wow..yeah, it can lead you astray everytime.....I already said in another post that, we have our own inner demons to fight.  And fighting those inner demons is fighting, the EGO.  The thing that tells you, if I think this...I am big, I am all knowing...I am great..I am SPECIAL.  Well, surprise, surprise..tis your EGO speaking.
No one is better than the next...Sure some can spell, speak, or articulate better than others, but in the end...You really aren't.
Perhaps we are having a battle of the ego's?  I am not a betting woman, but I would bet on that..

Xander, these guys are being purely defensive of their beliefs in this post (well, I think Neo's post was kind of inappropriate). You are being offensive by saying these guys' lives are pathetic, etc. They are simply saying that they really believe what they've been saying. No offensive remarks to anyone here from their side.

No offense, but I don't believe any of you are these guys' parents, either. I think The Bard made some good points though.

Let them believe what they want. They actually have a constitutional right to do so as a matter of fact in most of your countries. If they start trying to convince you that what they believe is true, then simply ask for evidence. Ask for quotes from the texts they claim to interpret things from. However, they don't seem to be on the offensive here, and from what I've read of their posts, they usually aren't. These guys usually post things like 'please don't bash me for what I'm saying', etc. Just leave them alone.

This is all just my opinion, of course. I hope no one says my life is pathetic for it or yells at me in caps. I'll learn on my own one day, and I don't think that would help me much.. []

Most can not validate them, but they most likely didn't think of these theories themselves.  However in this sense, what better are these theories of what might happen with an 'end of the world' then what the churches and other religions have stated.

James, I also think you were being a little rash.  The people that were ki-ballers before talk in a topic about training for a demon war, no where was it mentioned in these topics about using ki.  

I think spiritual power was mentioned, but this could be any kind of energy.  The topic didn't seem to be going in the same direction as the old energy fourms topics were.  This one seemed productive, even if GothicDragonX was a bit extatic.

Why do they have to validate their beliefs for you? Why they belief what they do is also their own business if I'm not mistaken. And I'm sure there are hundreds if not thousands of posts here with ideas that you do not agree with. There are just as many here that I don't agree with most likely, if not more. I just don't read them or reply to them as much. That must be where we differ from one another.

Advocate means helper.  Oh and James has now explained why he locked the topic fully and I agree with him, he did get a little bent out of shape though.  I think that we might be able to have a good disscusion on peoples theories of 'the end of the world' as long as we keep it mature and don't post just to talk back to one another.

Thanks Van-Stolin. That's pretty much it.
If the moderators started locking off topics just because we didn't believe in what they were about, between all of us there'd possibly not be much left of this forum. We all have different beliefs and different experiences. I locked off the topics because because of the poor quality  of the posts, because experience tells me that these kind of topics end up turning into mud-slinging matches, and because there's already enough topics running about this war. Not because I disagree with it. I will openly state that I don't believe this war is a likelyhood, but if I were to state that it absolutely will not happen, that makes me no better than those who state that it absolutely will. I don't know the future so I can't say for sure what will or will not happen.

The references to DBZ and other cartoons as being the driving force behind this stems from the fact, as Kakkarot pointed out in another thread, that this 'demon war' only started being talked about by kids who were into the DBZ ki practices.

As for an answer to what anime cartoons talk about some demon war, Except for the purely sci-fi manga stuff, as far as Japanese anime goes, MOST of them do. Sakura Wars is a big one, Sayuki, Vampire Hunter D, and tell me that Goku and the other good guys in DBZ aren't always out fighting demons in their travels! The Japanese animators seem to be hooked on the subject. Mind you, I've seen some of the guys that come up with this stuff, and they're so hyped up on caffiene most of the time (and probably a fair bit of speed as well), none of the weird-a*sed stuff they come up with surprises me!

James you say that the topic was comprised of people who were DBZ and anime fanatics, well I posted there and I dont even watch DBZ. Nothing I or anyone else even said in that forum remotely had anything to do with DBZ. If your referring to the fact that it was about a Demon war, well pretty much everything has talked about Demons or war, weither it be comics, Tv, movies, music... whatever. You have stated this befor, the fact is: IT IS ALL SUBJECT TO INTERPRETATION. What you think is your own personal oppinions, because they did not agree with the topic you closed it. Simple as that..

And I agree: IT IS ALL SUBJECT TO INTERPRETATION. You are interpreting those topics as being DIRECTLY related to cartoons, where as we are not. You are contradicting your self james, cant you see that?
