LOL.. I can't get the song "the streak" out of my head..
Well, some might be too young to remember, but that is a song by Ray Stevens.
"oh yes, they call him the streak..look at that, look at that"
Nay [:P]
when i do ritual i do it naked. when i do magic i do it with a special set of clothes because of certain associations that i've built up over the years.
for "vibe" overload: run naked in the middle of a thunderstorm.
Well let's see [:O]
I have on multiple occasions been naked in the company of relative strangers(long story, and they were usualy mostly unclothed as well). Either you are comfortable and 'wear' you nakedness (males are naked while females are nude, ideosyncrasises of english) like clothes or you hide behind your shyness. Being naked never bothered me. Others it greatly inhibited. I guess it's a sort of confidence test?
Being naked under the stars (insects permitting) can be increadibly invigorating. And dancing naked in a thunderstorm, well, it's hard to describe, but if you ever needed power for something, you'd never lack going that route. Wearing just a kilt (going regimental as it were) is about the same thing.
Dancing around a bonfire in a kilt is probably safer and saner than naked. Jumping over one should never be done in the presence of alchohal or other pharmicuticals [;)], nor should you let your friends attempt it.
I like being naked. I dont feel uncomfortable while doing it around other people. Sometimes, like at a friend's party, i got naked. Thats probably the last time my friend will say I wont do something crazier than him. Recently I've mostly worn only 1 piece of clothing - shorts. I was painting my grandma's wall and didnt want to get paint on my shorts so I wore only underwear. Grandma didnt care but mom complained about not wearing enough around grandma. I dont see what the big deal is.
Its ok to screw humans but not animals, but animals are allowed to be naked. It doesnt make sense.
I am notoriously thin-skinned when it comes to temperature. I get way too cold for that sort of thing.
Nudists haven't found a comfortable wardrobe. The right fit and the right fabric makes all the difference. Clothes are practical too.
Animals have fur and feathers for covering.
I love being naked. I am naked when ever I have the chance. Does that make me a nudist?
runlola, and I suppose it has nothing to do with voyuerism, nudists are just high idealists are they? lol [:P][;)] It did occur to me, that materials are not plucked out of thin air, materials are of the earth as is concrete. If nakedness makes everyone equal and equality is what you seek, then remember two things, not all are born equal physically and secondly, equality can equally be gained by being totally covered as Muslim women are, or various traditions, ie, Christian/Buddhist nuns.
I don't have anything against nakedness, I am shy to some extent but mostly, I hate the feel of my flesh in bare wind. I like the feel of material on my skin, like satin, or flanelette when I feel cold and in need of comfort, cool cotton on a warm day, etc. For me, nakedness, even for the purpose of going swimming or having a shower is something uncomfortable. I mean this in a sensual way, not in a moral way. It just doesn't do anything for me.
[:X]
Its not about being equal. I do it for myself when I can, not for anybody else, unless they're a horny girl.
If everybody was naked and nobody cared or paid attention to you being naked, would you still dislike it?
I would be all for going around naked but... my problem is that I am afraid of being... hum... unable to control some specific part of my body, if you see what I mean. [:D][:I]
Just a bunch of naughty thoughts rushing through my mind and... bing! Everybody would know! [;)]
Or, Using the same frame of logic, Smaller if you were just skinnydipping in the cold Ocean. [:P]
I used to care in the past, but it was more a fear of the unknown for me. When I saw first hand how the Japanese culture treats nudity in bath houses, I realized that I had no problems with nudity at all.
When I meet somebody I shouldnt be worried about shrouding a part of myself because its dishonest. These days I use the logic that its polite to stay clothed unless a situation comes where it becomes polite to disrobe (ie. Skinny Dipping) in which case there should be no hesitation [;)]

Yes, I would still dislike it. Thats exactly what I am saying, even if I had absolutely no uncomfortable feelings about being seen, etc, I still wouldn't like it. I don't like the physical feeling of nakedness in the same way some people don't like the feeling of cloths on their bodies. I like the feeling of materials on my skin.
Nagual, you probably wouldnt be the only one. So what? Some girls might get offended if you didnt, lol.
It pisses me off that people are offended if I'm naked. I could just as easily say I'm offended if people wear clothes around me.

Sarah

unlike you all,I cannot stand the sight of bare skin.even my own.
I keep as much as I can of myself hidden under clothing.
Being naked, even to my own eyes...is disgusting.
what am I? a nature hater,perhaps?perhaps...
Unlike some,I prefer the artificial ground...one that can stay clean the longest.
Unlike some I prefer aritificial walls to outdoors,so I could surround myself with artificial darkness even at times of day, when the sunlight that annoys me so is shining outside...
and also,I prefer my good ol' artificial PC to anything else [;)]
call me a nature hater if you wish...
but that is just mine opinions [;)]
runlola, I'll go to a nudist resort if I'm ever near one.
Jenia_San I like dark too. I'm nocturnal. But I dont like the "aritificial walls". When I live in a city at college The street lights ruin the darkness outside. Even if it wasnt dark, theres not much to do out there. Walking around in the woods gets boring. But I did see something cool last time I went, a caterpillar that had a green glowing butt like a firefly.
If I was naked at a computer outside with a roof over it, that would be the $H1T.
I'd like to hear somebody say "hahahahhahah ha haha he's wearing clothes. That must be so embarassing. Turn your eyes away. Its disgusting."

lol, that'll make no sense...I like stuff like that! *puts it in his quote list*
Yeah, thats right women, dont buy any clothes!
btw, Runlola, are you accepting my invitation (from another thread) and run naked with me at rain?[:)]
runlola...well,no matter how you look at it,from any poiint of veiw I end up as a nature-hater[B)]
I hate forests(so dirty!),flowers(sticky...),trees(they are houses to many insectoid life-forms),most animals(dirty...violent...)...
90%+ of natural food(Meat tastes disgusting.cooked or no. most plants also do)...
Nature is basically dirty.
I hate dirt,makes me itchy.
I hate itchyness,drives me nuts.
Yes I've been to a nudist beach (several times but not for a while)
Yes I am comfortable without clothes (in the Summer, NOT Winter lol)
and Yes, I went swimming without clothes, only once, and it was GREAT
But for some strange reason I prefer to be at least semi-covered when I go to sleep.
Finally... what's wrong with being naked/nude, society permitting? I wouldn't go as far as to walk down the road with nothing on but this is only because it's socially unacceptable. If the majority of society changed their views on it I wouldn't have a problem, but... I don't want to be the first to do it either!
I dont like being naked because i dont think i have a well worked body to show. I am afraid that people may say bad things about my body or something, for that reason i dont like being naked.
Another reason for not being an adept of that naked stuff: if i had a girlfriend i wouldnt like to see it naked in public. Other guys looking at her,etc...dont like it. Maybe you guys are too modern and i am too antique, but i just dont like that idea. Dont say that it is being jealous (is that how you write the word?).
I prefer to call it instint. Human sexual instints are like other mamals intints: we like to have just for us our sexual partner.
SO, this are the only reasons for not likeing nudhism.
Now about other people i really dont care and i will not be chocked to see a naked person, even if old. I say old because i read somewhere that in a country (dont remember) governement it is thinking on forbidden older women (60+years) to make topless because they are ugly and will "kick out" tourists!! That´s stupid!
quote(naguel):I would be all for going around naked but... my problem is that I am afraid of being... hum... unable to control some specific part of my body, if you see what I mean.
Just a bunch of naughty thoughts rushing through my mind and... bing! Everybody would know!
hahahaha, id have to agree with what you said but also i dont like being nude cause my little brother always is(he is an MR so he has a reason)
but he always runs around naked and after awhile it gets really annoying(especially when he wants to go swimming nude at the local pool and you have to stop him b4 hes naked) also humans dont have any fur soo they make clothes to keep warm, go stand outside naked when its 32 degrees and tell me you dont want some clothes.
also do you really want everyone looking at you?
+(this will sound weird, like im studying humans, or that im a dork but im not) humans try to be superior to one another, for different reasons, but having clothes is another way to be superior(brand name clothes)if all your clothes are polo and tommy hilfiger your gonna impress ppl more, if your were ever going to a job interview would you rather wear somethin nice, like a suit) or wear some old smelly shirt youve worn 3 days in a row and some pants with holes in them. anyway i guess we just have different opinions about nudity [;)][;)][;)]so, uh, can i join yah in the rain?[:D][:D][:D]
Ok, you can run with us, and there was another guy here in the forum (dont remember who) that wanted the same. C´mon you too.
3 guys and 1 girl (noneofyourbusiness are you male or female?) will run in the rain[:D]. Does any one more want to run too?
im a guy! but we need more girls![;)][;)][;)]
I'll run! Just pick a warm day...preferably with a huge thunderstorm.
I've been to a nudist beach many times, and find it great fun. I have no problem with undressing and there's nothing worse than laying in the sun in some rubber outfit that makes you have ugly tan marks. Not many things feel so good as midnight swims in the moonlight...or naked snorkling[;)]
What I remember though, is that in the US there's some pretty strong laws that forbid nudity. Am I right? Most european countries are very open to nudity, and going topless for example is more than normal. In US it's against the law isn't it?
To me it's all a matter of feeling good about yourself ( can I get even more trivial???) A person with a not-so-perfect body can be just as attractive as any other. I like the kind of people from which bodie's look you can tell, that they have better things to do in their life than waste time bouncing off rubber mats in the gym. Or that they can't resist another piece of cake, because they love life in every aspect of it.
Hanna, a nudhist? Coff, coff....do you wanna come to Portugal in Hollidays?[:D]
I've been there already and truly loved it, but I don't know if I can handle this amount of fun and party again..egh..emm..[:D]
Were you been into Algarve? Its a nice place for partys, beach and sun, but the Northern part of Portugal it is nice too. There are much more green and mountains and i really love it.
hmm...the name of the town was......emm...forgive me, it was 7 years ago, but if you insist I'll ask my friend[;)] All I remember is that it was 30 minutes away from Lisboa, and that there was a beautiful beach and tons of party. I really love the south of Europe, so there's no need for you to make advertisements[;)]
I think mr God made some kind of mistake by allowing me to be born in Poland. Apart from absolutly hating the cold winters, I don't even look like a typical polish type, I have dark brown hair and eyes, and whenever I'm in the South I'm often mistaken as one of them. Maybe in the next life I'll end up somewhere nearer Portugal[:D]

It's interesting how, over here in the US, sex is generally censored in the media, but violence is accepted, but in Europe it's the other way around...
Personally, I'd rather see/hear something pleasurable, as opposed to something miserable...
LOL! Great to know... but it's not like I have to be on a nudist beach in order to have fun ..especially that there's always a risk of having to see something really miserable, like kodemaster said[:D]
Also, about the US/differences.
Warning! I DON'T MEAN TO OFFEND ANYONE!!!!!
When I used to live in the states there were 2 things that were difficult for me to understand.
1. The amount of 'nudity shyness" in for example changing rooms..it was even more strange because I was among my girlfriends with whom I was very close, and it ssemed like nothing could be worse in life than seeing your best friends naked breasts..Obviously, here in Europe naked breasts are not a problem. Please correct me if I'm wrong...maybe it was the age I was at ..or maybe...emm..I run out of the ideas.
2. The way you say hello.
If you meet someone for the first time you don't shake hands do you??? (I'm not talking about buisness meetings)..
I remember that you give bear hugs to the people with whom you are closer..
And to me it's so akward...the not touching..I think that it's necesarry to make some kind of physical connection in order to "connect". I'm really curious how this kind of physical contact ( or lack of it) effects the later on life. Do the French people have closer connections because they kiss 3 times for a hello??
Is it all about the sexual harrasement issue?
I'm sorry if it's all a pointless babble...it's been a hard day[;)]
In Portugal young people (my age more or less) it is used to kiss even unknow people (women) in the face with 2 kisses. It is normal and i have no problems with that.
About the movie differences, i think that it is interesting the fact that USA movies have lots of violence but the sex that they passa in movies (even erotic movies) it is horrible. I hate playboy because it is too faked and they dont show anything.
Europena movies are far more real in sex. Even the image itself it is nor so bright and colourfoul (due to the filters) becoming more real and interesting.
Its starnge that taboo with sex in USA movies.
sorry if i offended you...
Wow! This girl it is fire! What do you mean by "look but dont touch"?! [;)]
I've skinnydipped and run naked in a thunderstorm. It's great!
About Wiccans and nudity though ...............
"The Witches/Wiccans were naked in their Rites" is, mostly, bunk, sorry to say, although this myth is the conventional wisdom (especially among the young)in Neopagan communities. It came from a pretty poem, the Gospel of Aradia. Aradia was Italian. A Strega. Strega is kind of like a witch, but not really. Strega is Strega. Still, the Strega I know wear clothes!
Take it from this old hag. "Witch" is a northern european word, and it's cold up there! A good number of Witches (the inspirations behind modern day Wicca) escaped NORTH, beyond Hadrian's Wall, to avoid being killed by medieval religious fanatics. They wore blankets and dark clothing at night. Most were poor, having no closets of "ritual garb," either. They wore what they had.
About the "skyclad" of Gerald Gardner: Though he contributed GREATLY to the revival of folk/magical religious practices, via this new/old religion he dubbed "Wicca," Gardner was kind of a perv. Not only was he into group nudity, he was into group sex and S&M, and worked bondage and flogging - excuse me, "scourging" - into his rituals. Funny how the Gardenarians I know treat nudity like gospel but just kind of gloss over the naughty bits as though they were optional!
When I do magical work outdoors, I wear clothes to protect my body from bugs, tree branches, etc. That said, I love being naked. But I prefer being naked indoors, in a pair of stilletto heels! Sexualized, yes, but . . . so? [;)]
Back to the nudist topic, I'm all for it. I moved out west in the late 70's and went to many clothing optional hot springs and beaches and I can report that there is still many places in northern California that nudity is accepted and normal. Haven't heard of anyone cited for it, you just have to go to the places that it is accepted. Lots of rivers have nude spots and I know of quite a few pacific beaches that are clothing optional. Not all are hard to get to- I was surprised a few years ago when I went to a popular public beach just north of san francisco, walked over the rocks and found people frolicing in their bithday suits! Unfortunately I don't think the younger generations are so much into it so when all the old hippies die off nudity may disappear too.

DUDE! I HAVE THAT ON VIDEO!!!
And Surfin USSR! Help Me Make it Through the Night..... Man that was good stuff back in the day. Sittin Up with the Dead used to freak me out. My parents got me that video when I was like 5 probably. It was like some greatest hits thing that was advertised on TV. I still have it upstairs with all the other movies in my small collection [8D]
I think the whole clothes thing is a promotion by the rich and powerful men. Their egos could not handle being shown up by "lesser men" and thus must have "better" clothes so as not to damage their fragile egos.
Ray Stevens is da bomb!
I love being naked at home and skinny-dipping in the moonlight or in a hot tub is great - so freeing.
In my younger "Babe" days, I tried a nude beach and got sunburned in places that had not been exposed to the sun since infancy -- sunburned boobs and bum are not comfortable. I can only imagine what men who get sunburned in some very private parts must feel.
Today, in middle age, people would be throwing towels and yelling at me to "cover it up". And they would be right. At some point in life, being naked in public is not a good thing to see.
Think about most of the people you encounter in a day. Would you really want to see them all naked, sitting in front of you? No thanks. It is wonderful to see the young and fit and beautiful on a nude beach...but the rest of the people I see every day -- not a great image in my mind.
But private nudity - is Great and the best, most comfortable suit of clothes any of us have. It is wash & wear and never needs ironing.
I have never tried the rain thing. I do have a relatively private back deck. Maybe one night I will give it a try at 2 or 3 in the morning when I am sure no one is around. [;)] I wouldn't want to get arrested for indecent exposure.
And just a thought on our American movies - maybe we love violence more than we love sex. We only say we love sex, but I wonder if we really mean it. Actually, we love dirty, shameful, forbidden sex as shown in the multi-billion dollar porn industry and music videos. But ordinary or romantic sex is considered too girly as Arnold Schwartzenegger would say.
But violence is so much a part of our entertainment offerings that we are numb to it. I am sure the rest of the world was quite amused by the scandal caused by Janet Jackson's (silicon) breast exposure. 5 seconds of a little nudity on TV and people reacted as if she was "doing it" in public. The rest of the world must think we are nuts.
Maybe we are all just hug deprived - touch deprived and need a good, long soak in a hot tub with a hugable partner. [:D]
So, go run naked in the grass. You will be happier for it.
i've never done any naked rituals, but it shure does sound fun![:I]
I haven't done it, but maybe one day[:D]
Actually, I lived next to a semi-nudist beach once (topless) and it was qutie nice....since us guys go topless anyway. Win win situation huh? [:P]
Cheers
Dave
i dont have a problem with nudity at all, i go skinny dipping as much as i can in the summer :[:D] and i dont have a problem with seeing other people nude either.
its not like its a big deal, it isnt like i have something that every other guy in the world doesnt have
or whatever....
i wanna go runnin in the rain too, but definatly need more girls, we dont want a saussage fest goin on.....[xx(]
I love wearing my birthday suit, but only when I'm alone. [;)]
I have been drinking, but still I have a valid idea. If you get naked and go outside and flash people for just 1 minute, then come back inside and deny everything, you could probably get away with it. What the hell are you talking about? I've been watching seinfeld for the last 20 minutes!
Watching Seinfeld? LUCKY ONE!! The last time that a portuguese TV transmited Seinfeld was about at 4 years ago or more!!
In S.F., yoga in the buff is OK stuff
City drops charges against yogi who drops trousers
SAN FRANCISCO - Nudists, grab your yoga mats and head for San Francisco.
City prosecutors on Wednesday said it was not illegal to perform naked yoga in the city — even at the crowded tourist destination of Fisherman's Wharf.
Prosecutors dropped charges against a limber nudist, known locally as the "Naked Yoga Guy," who made a habit of striking yoga poses in the buff in order to promote a book and his lifestyle.
I have heard San Francisco called many thing, none of which were the best city in America. [:)] It is a very libral city though, from what I have heard.
Now I have something new to try when I get home. [:)]
