Let's talk about love and sex!!(Again...)

Sex is for reproducing. At least sex was meant for reproducing in the beginning ...

But, because some animals (like us) are incredibly "smart" and highly "evolved", they discovered that sex feels good, and because it feels good, they do it all the time now, without reproducing, which would make things too complicated in our complicated society.

Love. Love is, in my opinion, an effect of differenct substances the brain produces. Nothing more. Nothing esoterical. No higher meaning. Just evolvment. We are animals, after all. At least at the moment ...

Dunno if that was on- or offtopic. Honestly, I don't really know what the topic is lol.

I also think that "mainstream love" is not real love; and mariage is just like any other business contract.

Too many times I heard people say: "I love him because I feel happy with him; he understands me; he pays attention to me; he takes care of me; I ... I ... me ... me...

So, what is the definition of love...?  []

It´s sad but i think it´s not far from reality!

The real love is the one that you share even with your enemys and people that wants you bad. Real love is made without any conditions or without any empriosnment to any feeling. Real love is freedom above and behind everything.

Marriage:
Well i think basically marriage is to tell everyone that you and your partner are together for some time. But it is needed for inheritence issues and laws to protect the children. But two people can be together without marrying anyway. The marriage rules are for protecting the innocent(children maybe) i believe.

Love:
If two are willing to love each other, share their lives, hate each other, need each other, ignore each other, miss each other, punish each other, hurt each other thats what i call love. The most complicated feeling of the human being...

Sex:
Well you can live without sex but it is triggered by hormones so there is not much to say. Every beatiful woman / sexy man just can trigger your sexual sensations. You dont need to have a soul to have sex with another one.

This is probably about the tenth billion topic on something to do with sex, and probably the hundredth billion topic on something to do with love.

BUT THIS TIME!! I want to discuss our own thoughts, feelings and theories. Maybe not to the extent of a super-random-put-your-thoughts-here thread, but more to the idea of discussing the most interesting ones.

My ideas are pretty confused and mixed up. I have this train of thought that marriage is a pile of crap, that love between a man and a woman is mostly manufactured. I mean, the arabs and africans way before us had several wives, that they loved and cared about a lot. And when it comes down to it, no matter how many pretty words you give it, love is INCREDIBLY selfish. No, I'm not talking universal love, as I tend to think of that as a type of pure acceptance of others and things.

Mind you, this confusion probably results from me being a teenager, or my simple ideal that I tend to believe that society is full of crap. I mean, some things about love and sex that are put out there by the media and the peons of society are just totally wrong, but we were brought up with it, so we don't know anybetter.

I guess I'm just trying to challenge what everyone thinks of it all.
