Yeah, that and X-Men 2. And maybe Shaolin soccer- if someone else sees it first and it doesn't suck.

Sadly that was my biggest worry as well MJ-12. That and Return Of The King.

A pole shift will cause several changes, most notably a change in compasses but nothing catastrophic.

Return of the King is going to be really good. Gandalf was right when he said that the real fight had yet to begin. I had to read the book instead of waiting so long.

If the end of life on earth ever arrives with only a couple of weeks of warning, would anyone else sign a petition to release some movies early?

Looks like I should have followed through with those plans to build a starship. Oh well. I had a good life so far. I'm ready to go at any time. I've faced death before and I'm not afraid to do it again.

Unless you want to build it out of plywood and duct tape, there was not time to get the money anyway. I have the good fortune to believe in reincarnation. Does anyone know of a nice planet somewhere with friendly natives?

This poses a fun thought. What would you do if you knew you only had 2weeks to live. How would you spend those two weeks? I think I would live them like I live my life now, with the exception of doing my schoolwork;) I would spend lots of time with everyone I love.

Thats something I think I need to do a bit more of, I'm in my last year of high school, and I'm getting bogged down with work and finding it hard not to stress too much about it. I've even got sick recently and i think it was related to me stressing, that was during our inter-term break. But now I'm back at school im feeling way better caus I realised im not going as bad as I thought and I get to be around my friends lots:)

Something I learned, when you start to feel too stressed, go back to focusing on the basics, like breathing, you will feel a lot better:)

I would become a vagabond and travel to all the places I've ever wanted to visit. I would blow off all responsibility, and I wouldn't tell anyone I knew where I was going (or that I was even going). And I would try to find my soulmate, as I believe I have seen her in both a very short astral projection and in a vision I got when taking a walk.

So, who wants to help me build a starship out of plywood and duct tape?

Aluminum foil and glue would help, too. I'll bring my stapler. The atmosphere only goes 50 miles up, but how far will it be necessary to go to get away from a thing that can flip a planet?

Getting back to the subject, it says rotation would completely stop- Um... wouldn't everyone who wasn't inside of a cave go flying off the surface of the planet? Maybe it will slow down gradually, reducing the likelihood of this, but without spin, wouldn't we lose gravity?

I suggest a course perpendicular to the celestial disc. And get as far as possible from it.

It is a good thing we don't have to put the question seriously to consideration. I just don't see how to get started with even writing a plan. Money is not easy to raise at first because it takes money to make money. It is like energy that way. Some people told me that if I could be more generous an open minded it would never be necessary to worry about money again. Maybe that is the problem. I'm joking about that last part.

http://www.zetatalk.com/info/tinfo242.htm

It lists places and the effects they will see. I have a good chance, though I am on the coast and can see the ocean. Im on the highest point in the city so hopefully there won't be a mad rush to steal my house on that fateful day[:D]:

Newfoundland residents today face the cold Atlantic with many inlets along the rocky shore, with ocean fishing and travel by boat being a familiar activity. Being hardy folk, used to relying on themselves and each other without assistance from the outside world, they have the mindset that survivors of the shift will need. Newfoundland will find itself, thus, well positioned to take advantage of the situation they find themselves in, after the shift, in that boat travel will be the best means of transportation as the existing poles melt and settlements at lower elevation disappear under water, and ocean fishing will prove to be one source of food available during the couple decades of gloom affecting agriculture after the shift. Those survivors wishing to assist others, less fortunate, should consider going afloat along the coastline to what was formerly inland, to team their skills to other survivors.

Gravity is a function of mass not rotation.
Unless we take the centripetal force experienced by a person on the inside of a rotating wheel. They are indistinguishable to the person in the wheel coordinate system.
But should the earth come to a jarring standstill people would indeed proceed to the horizon at ca speed of sound around the equator slower closer to the axis of rotation. This would clearly suck and cause lots of headaches and bruises all around.

Well it's good to know that we wouldn't all go flying off into space. That Zeta website is pretty cool. I don't really believe any of it but I think it's a fun read. When I see all the bodies of water in the world turn red, then I'll believe we're all gonna die.

Well if this all happens I'll be as good as dead I'm afraid. My family is too sceptical and everybody I love probably won't make it out alive so I'll just be so depressed I'd kill myself. I pray this won't happen.[:(]

I don't think it's gonna happen. Hey, if 95% of us are supposed to die, how bad could it be, anyway? The people who are left to stay alive can do all the hard work of rebuilding everything, then after they're stuck doing all the work, we just lazily reincarnate lol!

I wish everyone would give up what they are doing, and really do what they've always wanted to.  Even if the world doesnt end.  That would be a beautiful chaos

Say, rather than raise money to build the starship, why not steal the materials and kidnap some researchers lol! Plywood, duct tape, and tin foil aren't so hard to steal.

Say, I've got an idea. How about if someone does some remote viewing to see if this so-called 'planet x' really does exist. According to the website, it's pretty close to the earth at this point, somewhere near/towards the sun.

Post by: Euphoric Sunrise on May 07, 2003, 23:20:20
The closest thing to evidence of this Planet X thing near us is a few weeks back when there was dust around the place (there had been a big dust storm somewhere near) and through the dust the sun looked red and not nearly as bright as usual. It was pretty eerie, but it only lasted a couple of days and i haven't seen that effect since. I know it's nothing to do with Planet X but it's the closest thing i've seen to support the idea [:P].
I think it would be fun if it did happen though. Sure, there may be a few deaths, but look on the bright side, it will provide an alternative to the usual day we've all come accustomed to, especially if you die [:D].
EnderWiggin's idea sounds good.

I don't realyy buy into this crap, but just to get you conspiracy nuts going, on the bbc lunchtime news two days ago there was a report about how astronomers could see a shadow move across the sun, and that this was mercury. mercury huh? a likely story!

May 15th ? Pole shift ?

They could at least come up with a decent date ! now that the years 1999 and 2000 have passed, conspiracy theorists are doomed - who'll honestly believe that the world will end in, say, a year that doesn't have a nice, round number ?!!

I personally think the poles will shift on August 3rd, 2006 . But that's just my personal opinion. : )

Where will they go then? Czech Republic? I bet that would make them happy, waking up one day to find a couple of million poles on the streets looking dazed.

I don't really buy into this crap either. But just in case... I still think someone should do some remote viewing of "planet x." I think the thing that passed in front of the sun seen by astronomers was Mercury. I wonder if there's a way to check Mercury's orbit, i.e. where it is right now in relation to us and the sun.

Also, I don't think the world is going to end in a year such as 3000, 2999, or anything like that. It's too predictable. My opinion is that it's just going to happen one day and NOBODY will be able to predict it, because I don't think God would make us all anxious about dying in such a horrific way- Besides, he wants to catch us in our true nature.

There is some really bizarre stuff on their website. I think it might be a cult or something. Well, if the earth does indeed stop turning and all this weird stuff happens, then I guess it will suck to be us.

15 May....we still here...no pole shift. http://zetatalk.com/ surely will give various explanations why it doesn't happen. The end of the world, most likely we are killing ourselves slowly..into extinction due to our arrogance and ignorance.

captain's log, star date : May 16th. We're all still here.

Off topic, I read this morning that a world record attempt for pole-sitting is underway in Germany. the record is 196 days (i think) for sitting at the top of a pole.

Ironically the world record holder is from .... Poland !

bah... nibiru probably won't be back until 2012, between february 2 and december 21. a lot of people say february 2nd and use biblical codes and such as evidence, a lot of people say december 21/23 and have all kinds of prophecies backing them up. the activation of the ring of fire in the pacific ocean has already been accurately predicted, supposively by nibiru's gravity as it re-enters our known solar system.

here's nibiru's supposed orbit:

Bah, I wouldn't trust ZetaTalk. I think they're full of sh*t.
I've inquired a little bit into who runs the site (because I got a little suspicious of some the stuff posted) and it seems that some crazy old lady runs the site, and from IRC sessions I've read, I think she's got a little bit of an ego inflation problem.

http://zetatalk.com/

Lots of info, lots.. but how much to believe? Any Input?
This is a big event, that if happens as described on the zetatalk website, in such a radical manner, I mean... it'd be the beginning of the next phase... I don't really know how much I believe in all of it, but some of it hits rather close.  (as always lol)
