As it turns out though, its my passion.  Im high for a week after one. :-)

Really, wow.  :-o That's quite a time period for being high. Must be great!

EDIT: "High" meaning feeling great, not on drugs.

A lot of my friends know of my interests, and some have even experienced OBEs since I've talked about it with them. I guess I'm lucky that within my current circles of friends, I can be very open about what I believe – in the past friends I used to hang around with would have been a lot more negative about this kind of thing.
Just because I can be open doesn't mean I talk about it all the time, occasionally we might have a discussion about OBEs, other times philosophy etc and yet again other times just mundane and nonsensical discussions/arguments.
Luckily, my Fiancée knows absolutely everything about my beliefs and experiences, and is happy to talk about these things with me. If I couldn't be so open with my partner, I'd perhaps be slightly concerned about our future together.
I'd say tell people who you feel would be interested or receptive, but as with anything in life, certain groups only get to see certain facets of who we are – and just because we experience things doesn't mean we have to tell everyone everything (although with exciting subjects such as OBEs it can be hard not to sometimes).

Yep, natural high.

Even one alcholic drink will stop me from having a conscious journey.

I've generally found that most people tend to brush it off.  Like many others on this board, I generally consider my experiences and practices as personal, and generally do not share them with others, mostly because I know it will be disregarded as crap.  I tried to tell my boyfriend about my beliefs, and him being a complete athiest, well...it didn't really go anywhere :)  So yeah, it does kind of suck, and I wish that I could find more open minded people.   But hey, that's why I come here!!
