The Anima and Animus

The Anima and Animus I always found to be an interesting Idea. it has to do with the other side of yourself depending if your male or female you would be focusing on the opposite gender. I sort of took the Idea as what would happen if you took this anima or animus as some form of mental partner or a girlfriend or boyfriend if you want to look at it that way. I find the science very interesting I was curious if anyone here has fiddled with the concept.

Thinking; interesting. I have from time to time heard of this animus and anima but never delved into it as I don't tend to study much. LOL

But I did look at the wiki page. Have to say though I really have no interest in anime so didn't watch the yt.

So after reading the wiki I have to also say I am kind of glad you brought this up as it might sort some things out for me as well. So on to what I do know or experience myself.

When I do or attempt to do energy work on myself I like to have a visual in my head to work on. So I simply visualize an outline of the human body floating in nothingness. Works great and I never argue with what is presented as I feel that whatever presents is what I need to work on. But the outline is ALWAYS male. I am female so even though I have questioned this I let it ride but I've always wondered why that is. Why a male form? It's like looking at a clear glass Ken (Barbie) doll. So perhaps that is my animus.

It's been some years ago now that I first caught this male image but at the time I intuitively knew this was an aspect of myself that I could learn from. It took a while (years) for me to come to respect this image and start putting it together. I was actually pleasantly surprised to read the Four Levels of Animus Development on the wiki. That perfectly describes my own journey that I never even considered a journey till joining the pulse, lol.
