Here is a fun exercise. If you would like to share your answers here, go ahead. If you would like to keep it private that's ok, but you can at least check where do you stand. In a few days I will post a continuation of this exercise and you can see where the fun comes from.

4. My parents always thought money would ________
5. Money causes _________
6. I'm afraid that if I had more money I would _________
7. Money is __________
8. In order to have more money, I would need to _________
9. I think money _______

Good morning!  :-) I'll play along~ I'm not sure how to answer some of these questions.

1) People.
2) Depends on the person.
3) I'm not sure.
4) They never really talked about money.
5) Opportunity?
6) Not sure, I don't feel fear towards money.
7) Energy?
9) Be paid more
10) Own property
11) Losing myself/Hurting myself

-----

Separately...

My Dad always believed, "work hard, play hard" and "you can't take with you" and above all he prioritized family as the ultimate bond. Growing up, I had no concept of savings. In my early 20's I made great money with no college degree. I lost it all humoring my vices and depression.
My parents took me back in and allowed me another opportunity to get back out there on my own. I am fortunate, after some hard knocks, to have released my attachment to particular vices. Having sincerely prayed to God, I believe he has helped me here.

Now I save conscientiously and don't think too much about money other than, as a city boy, I need to have some if I want certain comforts and luxuries. I feel more will come into my life continuing the present path I find myself.

I feel grateful for Gods protection and guidance in all situations.  <3

Cheers !  :-)

Interesting exercise, Lightbeam! Thanks. Let's see where it takes us.
I don't like having preconceived ideas and judgments about others, but sometimes it's inevitable when seeing situations throughout life. This is a good thing to glimpse a bit of our own programming also. I want to clarify that these answers are based on what I've seen around me and in my circles. But it's not that I have an absolute thought about money or millionaires, on the contrary. I don't think money is bad, but rather the way it's used, the obsession, and the false identification that feeds the ego. I also don't think all people with money are a certain way, there are grays on the path. I think money is just a means and a tool.

Here we go!
1. People with money are: Very fearful, fearing losing everything and with it the identity that money gives them.
2. Money makes people: Shutting themselves off in their own world, without caring about others.
3. I'd have more money if: Focusing all my energy on that goal.
4. My parents always thought money would: It's the most important thing! Social status is everything and doing whatever it takes to preserve it.
5. Money causes: Identification with a certain social status, separation.
6. I'm afraid that if I had more money I would : I'm not afraid of money. I can control myself. I always dreamed of being a millionaire and doing wonders to help the world get free (although I'm not sure if it's possible, due to free will).
7.  Money is: Just a poorly used exchange tool. I think money could be better utilized. The problem isn't the object, but the use.
8. In order to have more money, I would need to: Having better strategies and many important contacts.
10. If I were really rich, I would: Travel the world. I would buy many hectares of land and create a huge ecological reserve. I would live self-sustainable with clean and free energy. I would invest a lot to protect animals and the environment.
11. My biggest fear about money is: That it ends up destroying the Earth, nature, and humanity, because of the bad use of it.

I think we have everything to make this world a utopia, the only thing missing is Consciousness.

Let me know how it goes after!

Woops! I totally skipped number 9. My 9 was meant for 8.

Also very interesting... Tak skipped number 9 too!

What happened?  :-D

Tak

Oh no! I had written it, but I accidentally deleted it :-o  It seems the same as number 7 for me, I think that's why I did it.

9. I think money: Could be better utilized. The problem isn't the object, but the use.

Thanks, Eric, for sharing your answers! And part of your story too. I'm so glad you're okay and that you've learned from it ❤. We're here to live experiences.
In the past, I also struggled with depression, drugs, and all that. I felt soo ashamed of myself! But I know even my Guides laugh of that and tell me... Hey! this is part of being alive! Enjoy the human experience. In the end, everything will lead us back to God, because there is nothing outside of God  :-) .

Ah, you guys are skipping ahead lol. You are rushing to end a cycle and start a new one. The # 9 represents an end of a cycle.
I'll be posting the next step of the exercise tomorrow. See if other people want to participate. I will also post my answers.

I think it's really nice you want to use your money to help others. Money is a way to help us evolve spiritually if I think about it. I used to blindly give all the money I earned, spending extravagantly both on my self and the people I loved... again- no concept of savings. I had to learn to save before I could give consciously(rather than blindly)- today I weigh whether or not I want to spend what little extra I have on myself or if it would be better suited for something less selfish. The feelings that come with it are lessons in the making. It's a blending of 'feeling' and 'reasoning' rather than unconscious action.

My experience thus far has taught me there is a difference between giving without thought and giving thoughtfully. A concept where money is just one of many branches- and situations, innumerable.

I'm glad your perception about money is positive, because money is just a tool. I have entered my answers at the end.
Now, the second part of this exercise is actually intended for people with negative outlook on money to help them understand and loosen up the negative perception. Within these 11 sentences, replace the word money with the word shovel. Because shovel is a tool and so is money. Then read out loud the new sentences with the word shovel and see what is sounds like.
Here is an example from a negative perspective. 1.People with money are egotistical = People with shovels are egotistical.
So if someone's predominant perception that people with money are egotistical, but on the other hand wish to have more money, all their subconsciousness is hearing is "danger, if I get more money, I will become egotistical", and so it prevents opportunities to arise for financial abundance. The manifestation of events depends on the deep beliefs that are floating on the foreground of focus, not on the wishful thinking on the conscious surface. That's why it's important to recognize limiting beliefs that contradict what you desire consciously, reframe, redefine and then allow. Don't chase outcome either though, just allow and embody/behave as the version of yourself that already exists with these desires manifested.

Here are my answers

1. People with money are ___generous______
2. Money makes people _____comfortable_______
3. I'd have more money if ____I behave/think as the version of me who does____
4. My parents always thought money would ___bring comfortable living_____
5. Money causes ___economy flow______
6. I'm afraid that if I had more money I would ___I am not afraid______
7. Money is ____a tool______
8. In order to have more money, I would need to ___allow______
9. I think money __provides opportunities to explore more of life, places and people_____
10. If I were really rich, I would __anonymously donate to others and explore the world______
11. My biggest fear about money is ____I don't fear____

Now, dont get me wrong, I am also observing how people misuse money and what it does to them, but that observation is not on my foreground of focus. It is on the back, blurred and unimportant to me. And because of that in my personal reality kind, generous, humble people constantly cross my path. Because of my focus on the positive side of things so my reality manifests accordingly. Not that the chaos does not exist. It does, but not in my reality because I chose what to observe. As an observer I am also a part of the observed scenarios. Observation is never only objective. We influence how the particles will behave when observed by us, this influencing the events.

Interesting exercise, Lightbeam. Yeah, if we swap out "money" for "shovel", the answers get a bit strange. Like we said before, it's not the money itself that's the problem, but how we perceive and use it. People would behave the same way with anything else, whether it's screws or potatoes.
I was super anti-system when I was a teenager, and I get why I thought that way back then. But looking back, I realize there's a lot of gray area in between. The real issue is how people behave and the values they're taught at home. You're right that it's more about what money means to you personally, and focusing on your own priorities rather than what others do.
We all deserve to live abundant lives, and the Earth has given us everything we need. The problem is that we've created a system that controls resources for the few. Since living off the grid is tough, maybe the best approach is to do what we love most in life and enjoy the journey.
Let money take care of itself – don't stress too much about it!   :-)

Happy Summer Solstice everyone - may you enjoy your most wonderful and abundant Summer yet.

I agree with perspectives put forward by LB and Tak.

Money is like energy, it ebbs and flows through and around us precisely to the extent our thoughts, feelings, emotions, beliefs etc. relating to money allow.  Mental patterns associated with lack, hardship, poverty etc will bring more of the same experience. Conversely, those with a mental pattern corresponding with extreme wealth, luxury, fame, fortune etc will attract more of the same. Yet it is very often the case that neither of these groups of extremes can experience true happiness.

The best relationship with money is experienced when we know, beyond doubt, that we will always receive the precise amount of money required to live very happily and comfortably, with all needs met. It is always about simply allowing.

In Matthew 19:24 Jesus said "It is easier for a camel to go through an eye of a needle than a rich man to enter the Kingdom of God". There is nothing wrong with having money, as long as it is put into perspective, not selfishly abused or worshipped above all other things. When this happens, humans interacting with the rich man often pay a toll for the greed and power hungry nature that often comes with the quest for money.

When looking at Mathew 19:24 there is the obvious Biblical meaning, but I believe it also has Spiritual application. Those obsessed with money experience such a distraction on what truly matters, that they never evolve Spirituality as they suffer a form of Spiritual brain atrophy to the ascension process. This can result in having a very low vibration and frequency resulting in emptiness/unhappiness. The spiraling cycle and obsession to make more and more money even at the expense of other's well being (which often includes the masses) can become a very destructive cycle. I am not trying to be negative, but this is just part of life on Earth/the physical realm.

Money has lots of positives and is a great resource. When a soul handles money properly, I am very impressed. Money allows us to experience life and exercise our free will in many ways as it opens the door to more experiences (travel, giving back etc...).  I must say, in my experience, those that live life properly with priorities in perspective and who have a vast abundance of money are in the minority. Once again, nothing wrong with having money, but it must be handled responsibly and with the proper perspective as compared to the meaning and importance of life's journey.

Yes this is also true. If for example money is amassed through the natural course of doing something a person enjoys and is passionate about, and helps or brings joy to others in the process, such a person will usually will keep and enjoy their money and will use it wisely for their own happiness and that of others. They will also be much more inclined to give anonymously to those who can really need it for survival. From a Spiritual perspective this is very positive. There are numerous such people in the world.

If however as is so often the case a person amasses billions at the expense and total disregard for others, they will never be happy because it is never enough. And while they gain hollow satisfaction by indulging the ego by flaunting their wealth - yachts, mansions, private jets etc.- they are never truly happy, and from a Spiritual perspective this behaviour is very negative.

Those who suddenly gain wealth such as lottery winners and inherited wealth, are often bankrupt in few years with much less than before they gained their money, as their mindset does not facilitate keeping it. It has been shown that in very many cases great wealth totally dissipates over the course of three generations.

As I suggested in my last post, money is energy, it is how its flow is focussed and mental attitude towards it that really matters.

I actually witnessed this with the same person twice. She received twice large inheritances a few years apart and both times the money were gone quickly with nothing gained. I know her really well and she had always complained that all her life they were poor, that money is scarce, and people with money are greedy. She never changed that pattern of beliefs and her reality quickly realigned again and again. I know on a higher level she is creating these opportunities to test if she can change her beliefs and recognize how the law of energy works. And although it may seem that she had failed twice, in my view these experiences are part of the whole learning curriculum. They are not failures, because even a small amount, knowledge is still extracted, because she is starting now to get it. I am also encouraging her to change her perspective about money and let go of the subconscious guilt that if she desires more money she is greedy. That belief alone will keep money away from her because her subconsciousness is protecting her for becoming greedy since she believes if she has more money that will be her behavior. And if she does not fully understand during this life, she is understanding it in another, because these small amounts of knowledge extracted from every "failure" are added together from each lifetime into the larger self.

Yes, I agree, lots of lessons here on earth for humans regarding money. Especially when it is  improperly handled and, as you mentioned, there are those who struggle having/keeping money. I find it particularly egregious, when those who struggle with money because their own doing and choices made in life, then elect to act out on those who have money and have handled it very nobly. A myriad of lessons for those on opposite ends of the spectrum.

Yes, this is exactly the point. Money, in and of itself, is a mass delusion of humanity, created out of thin air by banks typing numbers into a computer, backed by nothing and with no tangible value whatsoever. It is therefore the relationship people have with the concept of money, based upon a lifetime of thoughts, feelings, emotions etc about it, that determines how they are influenced by it - wealth consciousness, poverty consciousness, victim consciousness, and the entire spectrum. People can change their relationship with money in an instant if they choose to, but many will not do so, instead playing out the role in this concurrent life, that their Higher Self has chosen for the experience.

I was always fascinated by Star Trek where there is no currency system. People no longer chase money "as the prime directive" but instead work to better humanity and the universe. Interesting concept...

Star Trek, one of my favourite TV shows at the time they were first being shown, has proved to be prophetic in more ways than one. The "communicators", at a time when the world only had wired phones with cables, are reminiscent of the early mobile cell phones with the flip up screen, enabling phones to be used anywhere over long distances.

As for a world without money - it has happened before and must happen again if humanity is to make any real progress Spiritually. Money as it is now is the ideal instrument of the ego - power, control, corruption, huge disparities in quality of life and so on, all of which must, and I am sure ultimately will, give way to a world of mutual cooperation and service to others before self, out of Unconditional Love.
