Google didn't help at all, so I'll post at least what I THINK it is.

A Sun Roof is the overhead window that can be opened.

A Moon Roof is the overhead window that cannot be opened.

I have no idea otherwise...we need some mechanics / car people in here [|)]

PS - My Explorer has a Sun Roof (under my definition) []  I loove it.

Yes, as far as I know, Squeek is 100% correct! The sun roof can be opened but not the moon roof. The moon roof is usually darkly tinted.[8D]

Concerning automobils, can anyone tell me the difference between a moon roof and a sun roof??
