Hi Jilola, I've not experienced paralyze while listing to music but of late while going into a light trance this is the first thing to happen.I know Mr. Bruce writes about paralyze in his book but there's no mention (or so I think )of this occurring regularly .Pre Astral Dynamics I once awoke and was not able to move there was whispering going on and I panicked, after wiggling a piece of body I broke free .Should it happen again,Yoki must stay calm and go with the flow

I tried but I just can resist:
quote:
I panicked, after wiggling a piece of body I broke free
Most people friek out when body parts get wiggled at them
Seriously though, I think what happened with the music was that the rhythm was for some reason in sync with something in the brain that causes sleep paralysis. I havent been able to reproduce the effect but it would be extremely useful if I could figure out what it was.
Those astral noises can be unsettling, hhuh?

Hi
I've experienced sleep paralysis as in waking up from a dream from a dream from a dream and I heard a fanfare playing in my garden, felt very real but obviously was not.
Another time after an afternoon nap I woke up hearing a song on TV, distinctly heard lyrics in French when it was really a song in English. Paralysis in that case too, I guess we are not supposed to run when we sleep.
I'm looking forward to reading this forum, looks fascinating.
Just thought I'd share this as it was such a blast at the time.
Earlier tonight I was waiting for a show to start on TV and put on a local radio station on my walkman radio.
I turned it on and Angelo Balamenti's song (the theme from Twin Peaks) was on. Two seconds later I couldn't feel my legs from the waist down!! I mean no feeling whatsoever. It was like looking at something that I vaguely remembered were meant for walking and should feel like something. All that were there were the familiar vibrations I get when I meditate or try to AP.
I was slouching on the couch so my uper body was a bit tensed up which explains why I wasn't conked out completely.
Funny thing is the song (a favourite of mine, I like soppy music

) has never caused anything like this to happen. Amazing how things are transformed and the world turns out to have so much more magic(k) in it!
Has anyone had a similar experience?
