I used to be friends with a boy named Graham a couple of years ago, his older brother had his throat slashed by a man who used to meet up with my ex-friends other brother.
It is sad that this happened, especially as the man murdered was only 23, and he was a good person. I hope the murderer gets brought to justice immediately.
that's sad.
Why did he do that?
This world sometimes seems a place of blood and steel. So many violence for no reason...
I am sad for you and for that man. Hope he can rest in peace.
I am not sure about the motive, but in an article in the newspaper it said that the judge allowed the murderer any "medical help he may need". So was he a junkie or what? I don't know. He is 20 years of age.
What I do know is that I went to the funeral today, and a sister of 20 years (with her own child), 2 brothers (19 and 21 years) and a father and mother have all lost their brother and son, and are devastated by it, I am not even sure if Graham even accepts it, he is just confused cos he is so overwhelmed.
I shook his hand today and I told him I was very sorry for his troubles, I hope that will give him some encouragement. Even though I didn't talk to him for 3 years, he recognised me immediately, he is a good lad. I was crying a bit when they were taking the coffin out of the church on the mens shoulders, the murder affected me aswell.
I would cry too.
When my grandfather died at some years ago i cried a little but i accepted his death well. He was old. It was his hour.
Now, when i see young people dying on accidents, murderers, diseases, etc, its hard a lot for me to accept it.
Donal,
Sorry about your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Best,
Jeni
