what would cause a person to have nothing but bad luck since practically the day they were born ?

Their own choice on a higher level to set up certain limitations in this particular life in order to learn specific lessons and to push themselves to come to realization of personal power. The realization that we create our reality. When we crack the code of this game, we can hack it and take over the control.
If blame on external circumstances or luck continues, and personal responsibility is not admitted, then the cycle will continue until one realizes it's them who create it. It is very important to ask ourselves what are the lessons I am learning from this, which I have created, rather than to ask why is this happening to me.

Souls that chose to come to this Earth experience knowing that they will forget who they truly are in order to create a controlled environment for specific challenges are very brave. Even though they may not feel at this time that they are brave, the fact is that they ARE. I highly admire all who are here.
I like going into crowded places and just watch people. I can "see" what are they going through, what are they feeling. And I say to them telepathically " I know who you are, although you may not see yourself. But you are ok, no matter what are you going through, you are growing at accelerated speed as you have chosen. Nothing lasts forever, and you will reap the benefits of your willingness to be here.  You may not know how brave you are, but I see it. Brave and precious soul!"
Then I send a blast of comfort and I hope they feel it, especially those who feel alone in this journey. No one is ever alone.

 Methen, Take a look at all of the posts that you made here on Astral Pulse and see what "vibe" you get from them. Pretend you are reading another person's posts and see what kind of advise you would offer the person. I sense a lot of negativity. You need to learn to see the beauty in life.

Lightbeam was correct. You asked to be "challenged" before you incarnated here and it looks like you are being. So what are you going to do about it? That's where the lessons comes in. You need to learn to make "Lemonade" out of all of those lemons!

I can assure you that I  Never asked for all this unwanted stuff in my life, no one is going to do that kind of stuff...

Also if that were true then why would people complain about the very things they ask for, Sorry but that philosophy does not make a lot of sense when you set back and think about it.

Are you aware that the you, you think is you is not the whole you? First you need to understand who you truly are on a multidimensional level, then you will understand what we are talking about. You may not be ready to understand at this time and that was by choice of your higher self, because you still need to be in a closed controlled environment in order to learn your lessons. But at least we have planted the seeds and hopefully one day you will allow them to grow
