Seeing Images with your eyes closed

Well, I can't see past my eyelids either, as least not with astral sight, yet.

I've been wondering for a long time whether this astral sight is related to abstract visualization.  For example, if I ask what city is approximately halfway between NYC and Los Angeles (if you are in the US), most people will briefly see a map of the US in their mind.  If someone asked me to visualize my house from 500 feet, I could do this quite easily, with no prep.  It would be pure visualization, and not true sight (OBE or AP).  Artists have a keen talent for this, being able to look at a blank canvas and already see what they will paint.  

However simple visualization doesn't help me see with astral sight, past the eyelids.  I do see black (yes black) and yellow lights behind the eyelids, that as I get deeper get more interesting, from 2d, to 3d, to something else.  I sometimes get pre-dream imagery, but no astral sight.

It would be interesting if you ask your wife how complete her sight is.  If she is looking at the house from above, can she see everything in the backyard in detail?  Can see tell where the shadows are specifically?

Hopefully with practice the sight will come.

By the way, how did you ever discuss something like this with your wife?  I can't think of one person who I would discuss this with in real life, face to face.

I asked her that very question, how detailed is her visualization.... And she can see every detail even down to rubbish and bags scattered over the garden. She can also see shadows naturually without thinking about it.. and she tells me its as clear as if she was actually up there looking down... She can even feel the wind blowing.

And its funny you should mention how this conversation was brought up!
Basically I was reading something on the internet related to Imagery and Visualisation techniques.. and she just happened to look across and was wondering what I was reading.. So I explained to here that people like me and you, can't see images in her our minds.. She looked confussed and told me that she could.. and it went from there.
She thought everyone could do this... which made me wonder whether I was different from other people... thankfully all the other people I've asked can't either which hopefully makes me normal )

Does this mean she could actually be quite spiritual or Clairvoyant ?
My only ability is to see Auras.... although I can't always see them.. depends on how relaxed I am.. somedays are better than others for some reason?

I really would like to improve my sight, but I have no idea how? Unfortunately It doesn't come naturally with me.

Hi everyone,
I had a very interesting conversation with my wife yesterday..
She claims to be-able to shut her eyes and see any image she likes... Forinstance when her eyes are shut its as if her eyes are open...!
When I close my eyes all I can see is darkness "Black", I don't have the ability to see any image I fell like.. The only time I can do this, is when I'm dreaming.
I asked her to imagine she was outside our house in the garden, i then asked her to start flying above the house and look down from a birds eye perspective of the entire area... "AND SHE DID" I have only ever done this once... And I was fast asleep dreaming. She can do these things any time she likes just by shutting her eyes.

So am I not normal, or does she have a gift.... ?
