Adrian (or any mod), plz scan the topics posted under innocuous titles, they are actually religious in nature and blong in world religions. (A thought about Allanon, it didn't start that way but sure ended that way)

I'd like to publicly thank you Adrian!  I have no problem with "religious" discussions but I do think they need their own corner.

Actually, I really don't think there should be a difference between "religous" and "spiritual" matters, as they are the same, BUT with individuals like Allanon you tend to get a lot of close minded banter.  So thanks again!

Hmm, I'm not sure about this one Adrian.
I realise WHY you are doing this as it allows discusion of this topic to occur in a designated place means that the fundamentalists can carry on their rants away from everywhere else.
Unfortunatly though, I know from bitter experience that such forums only serve to encourage religious fundamentalists (esp christian fundamentalists), like the ones who have been annoying everyone around here recently. Providing these forums will only encourage more of these types. Although the intention is to provide a space for them there, the resulting rants will end up spilling over into other forums esp if the the evangelising mood takes them, which we all experienced earlier.

Just registering my concerns!

I appreciate your concerns and thank you for posting them.

This has not been an easy decision I assure you. Religion is outside of the charter of Astral Pulse. However, we have to recognise the fact that if our Spiritual, mystical, occult views are to be respected, we must also respect those who hold more closed or specific views based around a belief system. We also need to be mindful of the fact that religion and spirituality very often overlap, and sometimes even share common distant roots. If you have been reading the posts by Beth, in the religious forums, and who is an expert in these matters you will see what I mean. There is also for example Mystic Christianity a well as the Gnostics, Essenes and so on. There are yet other large religions such as the LDS church for example, of which PeacefulWarrior is a member, who also accept Astral projection, and share the same beliefs as to the ultimate destiny of mankind. Even the catholic church speak of "communicating with dear departed relatives in ultra-terrestrial dimensions". So these things are not black and white.

Many of us here, myself included, approach "The All", and Spiritual, mystical and occult matters from a Universal, open-minded, none dogmatic perspective with no belief system involved, andas such we of all people should know better than to be intolerant of religion. Intolerance is a severely negative human trait, and one which will hold anyone back on the path. Real progress is only possible by enoblement of the character and transcending the ego, as well as recognising "God", The All, Spirit etc. within. We are all on the same ultimate path, and we all have to discover truths and realities for ourselves, and that equally applies to religious people.

We hope that by keeping religion in their own forums, we can provide for the beliefs, path and aspirations of everyone.

There is now a new set of forums to discuss all religious matters. The big "satan" topic has accordingly been moved there.

Please, if you have no interest in religious discussions do not visit the religious forums! The choice is yours, and will ensure in future that everyone is not subject to religious issues  and evangelising in this or any of the other main forums.

Please also note that all religious topics started here or any other forum other than the religious forums will be moved immediately!
