noise harmfull to the astral body

Back in 1990 or 1991 I had a spontaneous projection. It was interrupted by a loud noise: someone knocked loudly on my door and walked in while I was floating over my body. It took years off my life, I'd swear it.

 I read some years ago that only two things could harm us on a ´spiritual level´, and that was noice and.... err.. drugs!  But naah, doesn´t make sence at all to me...

Recently I read that negs don't like loud noises and bright lights. It sounds fair enough that an astral projector attempting to influence physical material would also be disturbed by loud noises and bright lights. Since most projectors are not negs, though (I hope), I imagine that positive energies from crossing running water would not be barriers to even very densely organized astral projectors?

so an astral body can travel through the fusion reactor called the Sun, can pass through just about anything but one loud noise and you're damaged. Cant seem to see how it could be possible.
Hmmm, if its true then it could have something to do with the vibrational frequency of the sound waves, but id say sound shouldnt be able to do harm.

The astral body itself, I'm sure, is quite safe from sound and light. Running water, too. What happens, though, when it is made dense enough to interact directly with matter? Would a loud noise, a flash of bright light, or a bit of running water be enough to cause an unpleasant, abrupt return to the body? One of the things that makes a trip to the sun so safe is that under normal circumstances the astral body would not interact directly with the light, sound, heat, gravity, and hard radiation involved.

I think the most EVIL of all sounds is that stupid high-pitched frequency given off by TVs. Can a sound be any more annoying? I can hear it long distances away. I'm no dog but I can't stand that sound. I think noise caused by electromagnetic radiation is probably among the most harmful to the astral body. I don't like TV very much. As a musician I should probably appreciate all sound, but since I don't have my bachelor's degree yet, i think I can get away with not liking some noises for now.

By the way I think this all makes sense, seeing as everything in the universe is a vibration. Noise is also a vibration. I think if noise can hurt us, it can also help us. Everything has an opposite. Music, for example, might strengthen the astral body, as it is controlled noise. Maybe the astral body can be conditioned to take the noise. It's hard to say... On the other hand, I think Hephaestus (Greek God of the Forge, if my memory serves me correctly- clever name) has a point. If we can travel through the sun (which is probably terribly, terribly loud up close- good thing sound can't travel through physical space), why would a noise be able to hurt us? I think it is probably more the spiritual source of the noise. If it comes from a negative source, it hurts us, and from a positive source, it heals/helps us. And from a neutral source, it does nothing.

From my perpsective:  It varies depending on the music, intent of the music, and focus of the music...

Music is definately a spiritual phenomena (at least when it is true)

I feel the artists who are in it for the money, etc.. the ones who basically fuel ego and such.. those could be harmfull.. but only if you let them be

I have found that dissonant and atonal modern classical music is maybe not directly damaging, but at least slightly upsetting to the aura.
I, myself being very interested in that kind of music (Bartok, Prokofjev; Berg etc) I still like listening to it, but I doesn´t listen to it that  often.

While listening to Prokofjev´s THE FIERY ANGEL on CD (which is a VERY dramatic and scary opera about demonic possession and exorcism) I experienced a spontaneous re-enactment of a Banishing ritual (like LBRP), this was before I re-commenced my magical studies with the A:S stuff this summer.  I see this experience as the higher self taking control. Interesting that some music can carry so much a symbolic meaning.

The ancient Greeks believed that music has the power to affect the emotion, and that every key or mode represented a different emotion. They believed the key of D Major represented happiness. I think that today it depends on your aura what is good for you and what is not. I think it is possible to adapt to all styles of music so that they may all benefit you. I prefer music by the artist Aphex twin and the band Radiohead. I like music that gets away from this tonal system that has been in effect for so long, though I do enjoy listening to tonal music.

We have lost some of what the Greeks discovered about music due to the controlling nature of the Roman Catholic Church. It really changed the course of music and we fell behind about 100 years. I hope we get that knowledge back. Have you ever heard of techno-shamanism? Certain types of techno can be used to put oneself into the trance state to start OBEing.  The bass drum is supposed to have a large part in this. Personally I like soft ambient techno. The sounds can be very soothing and enlightening.
