OBE and Psychic Mediums

I'm wondering if anyone here has ever heard of someone who was having an OBE that came into contact with a psychic medium during their out of body experience?

I guess it would have to be planned in order for any kind of confirmation to have occurred.

It would seem like it should be possible.

An example from life or the literature would be appreciated.

I'm just talking about a medium, who would normally sit and communicate with people who have passed on to the other side.

You would imagine a situation where a medium could experience the OBE projector while the projector was out of body, in much the same way that they can sense people who no longer have physical bodies at all.

I went to some spiritual churches back in the day and walked out of them wholly disappointed.

Also I have met people claiming to be mediums and when I brought up the subject of OOBEs etc they wanted to change the subject or said they did it and when pushed about it, evidently didn't.

I've had bad experiences with a medium who told me I had a little demon following me around. I said I had never seen this demon in all the OOBEs I've had... that shut them up.

Right. I understand the world of mediumship has a lot of fraud, but if you dig into the literature, there is plenty of evidence to support the fact that there are genuine mediums. I didn't really want to get into that debate.

I just wanted to know if anyone who perhaps had an interest in both worlds, mediumship and the OBE had ever seen any cross over.

There is an incident recorded by Robert Monroe where he is seen by a medium, but that is the only instance I have so far.

Teagueblue is absolutely right. Psychic medium is one who are able to communicate with the spirit world. I also know a medium. Her name is Meryem. She is a very good psychic.

I've never met a 'real' one or read anything that seriously challenges my experiences with that sort of thing so I could only answer the way I know. Sorry.

What is strange is that mediums contact loved ones... but it is evident to the experienced practitioner that a form of reincarnation is in play when it comes to reality. So it just makes me wonder... who are they talking to if Uncle Joe has recycled?

The debate will form regardless of your wish because to bring up mediums and OOBEs is to question the relationship between OOBEs and Mediumship.

The same debate would happen if you asked any question concerning OOBEs to a forum consisting of OOBE practitioners. What is the Silver chord? Do vampires exist in the astral realm? etc

It's a good question that in my book is screaming for debate because it's interesting.

Unless you are looking for a load of 3rd party anecdotes to satisfy your curiosity.
