Oh boy! I had many dreams like that! It scared the sh*t out of me! I get the same thing with alarm clocks. I dream of my alarm clock going off in my dream and im standing over it trying to shut it off. In real life the alarm clock was going of. heh
Also, I think dreams that you and I had is a way of telling us to wake up.
Try thinking of the symbolism of the dream...even nightmares could hold a meaning.
But then again maybe it was just meant to scare you for no apparant reason whatsoever [:D]

i think i may have done something to tinkle my subconcious mind off...
i had a dream that something (possibly spiders or ants) were on my face and i also woke up with a semi start and hit myself in the face... it wasnt a real hard punch but it was hurtin for a while after it.

They seem to make no sense much of the time. Other times I can relate the particular dream to something that I'm experiencing in everyday physical reality. Still, many times they are quite puzzling. [?]

I think we have "scary" dreams because for some reason we don't remember the other ones!
Look back on all the dreams you've had, all-be-it over 10,000! How many can you remember that you did NOT write down? 20? 10? I have 4. It's a sad number. All four of these were nightmares in which I died in fun fun ways. Of COURSE none of them I take literally... they're all so far out that that the feasibility is inane... but still they stick with me.
Maybe I'll make a topic about them all someday... Until then... Never lose hold of the dreams you have... as frightening or as happy as they are, they all have significant meanings.

Not once in my life I had a dream where I died. I also never had a nightmare witch resulted in me waking up and screaming.

Well, Mike is right on this one, we remember scary dreams better because of the emotional shock of the moment. Dreams, man, can tell you the craziest of things, can foresee the future, can tell you progress of people, can even show you things from other worlds...no suprise.
I have more than enough crazy stupid dreams. But i wouldnt call them stupid because they are so fun :)

i had a really strange dream last nite about a woman whos husband was killed in the 1st world war. anyway 4 some strange reason she had 2 honor her husband she by letting scorpions, big ugly spiders and worms walk up her arm every day ang go under her big white wig every day and she was quite happy 2 do this unil this man told her that her husband was a fake and then they climbed under her wig and she was horrified and the wig was hanging off her head, then i dreamed that the scorpion was climbing up my arm and i thought it was going in my mouth, it was really freaking me out and i woke with a start cos it felt quite real but not lucid if u no what i mean. anyway does any1 else have really strange stupid dreams ?
