I've done it. I was in some kind of city, but in a section with some grass and trees around it. I materialized a woman and screwed her. Felt just like the real thing. While the sexual urge can be pretty overwhelming when in the astral, I'd like to give you a little word of warning.
Being an astral pimp, that is, having an OBE just to "have sex" isn't all it's cracked up to be. You will still return to the physical afterwards, where your physical ego will kick in, and you'll realize that the enounter was relatively meaningless. That is, nothing was really gained from the experience except for getting your jollies off.
Now, that isn't to say that I haven't...ahem...had my share of astral enjoyment. However, I am making a clear distinction between an intimate astral encounter (merging of your energy with another intimately) and plain lustful actions (ripping the top off someone and feeling them up, taking advantage of entities, etc).
At first, when you experience a sensation of unadulterated LUST in the astral, it's very overwhelming, and gratifying. But after the experience is over, you start to think, "Hmmmm, I probably should have been doing more important things with my time in the astral. After all, I have plenty of time to have "sex" in the physical."
Granted, some of you who are not married (or without a passionate relationship) may not get to have sex in the physical whenever you want. But having an OBE just to have a sexual encounter is like buying a plane ticket to fly halfway around the world just to go on a blind date with someone who could very well be an 80 year old grandmother. Ya just don't know what'll happen, and it's not worth the risk of losing control of the OBE experience.

I don't know if you would call it Astral Sex but I have had some "interesting" experiences to say the least. I have a friend who is very dear to me who I have "felt" in a very intimate sense. Because of some very painful experiences I have recently had, I have ceased communication with him in the "normal" sense(email and telephone), however, I can still "feel" him with me, sexually and otherwise. However, I do not have to leave my body to experience these sensations, I need just be relatively quiet of mind and I can feel him all around me.
These experiences, however, are not with just a random being. This particular person is (in my opinion) highly evolved and has awakened in me a strong yearning to experience Cosmic Unity on a conscious and continuous basis. The feelings that this person conjures in me are of a deep seeded longing that completely transcends the physical. It is my opinion that any time we have sex with someone or desire to have sex with someone, it is our (all of our) desire to "commune" or to unite with that person or with our source, that we recognize the divine within that person and want to experience that divinity. When we feel this, it stirrs up the sexual emotions within us and we understand the feelings as sexual attraction. Since we have physical bodies, sex is the most common method of experienceing this "communion" in the physical sense. This is why to many it is considered a sacred act, the ability to touch the Divine or experience the Divine through physical orgasm.
So, my answer to this "is sex possible between 2 astral travelers" is Yes. If you define Astral Travelers as people not being physically present in the same room... I don't go flying around and meeting random people... not that I wouldn't like to have those experiences at will, I only have Astral traveled as I think it is defined here, in these forums at night when I am sleeping.

I guess it depends upon your point of view and your definition of divinity. From my point of view, Divinity dwells within each of us... God does not live outside of our bodies, and is housed within our minds. I feel that Love, Dinvinity, Life, God, the Mind and the Universe are all different ways of saying the same thing in certain contexts (for example, to refer to the matter within the Universe without also refering to the intelligence that permeates the universe is not an analogy I would use for the meaning of Divinity)
I believe that subconsciously, we all want to touch and be a part of something greater than ourselves (or the way we perceive ourselves.) The act of making Love is a way to experience that thing that is greater than ourselves, by joining with the person who arouses that passion within us, and experiencing an ecstatic (yet incredibly breif) state through the act of having sex.
Your definition of divinity may not relate to mine so therefore, you may not understand the act of love making and the results of orgasm and the terms I use as having the same meaning. Do a search on Tantric sex if you like, it explains much better than I can about the desire to attain cosmic unity through sex.
I am an Athiast so I probly have different views of it than you.

Aries, what lighthouse is pointing at is that sex is, or atleast can be, more than just a physical act. In another post I tried to describe this, though it was actually for something a little different than this but I think it might help you understand.
Actually I agree with lighthouse. I think we are trying to connect with that something more reguardless if we are conscious of it or not. Unless you are aware of it, you will not understand.

So I strongly suggest only positive thoughts and emotions.
When doing these things on each level, physical, energy work on the etheric, and emotion on the astral, then you are connected, or a better word is probably aware of all three at the same time. This is truly a wonderful experience (understatement).

Well beavis' story is interesting, but there is another kind of astral sex that is more like a merging of each other, energy, and this blissful, loving state. It is not very much like what beavis describes. Now I have never experienced any kind of sex while out of body, this is taken from what others have said. But I have reached such a state while still aware of my physical body. From this I believe that you do not have to have an OBE to have astral sex. Like what I described in the other post, you become aware of the astral and connect on that level during sex.

What Fallen is saying is that it is more like a blissful state that you can experience because of the LOVE part of the sex, not the physical experience...
Like a merging of 2 or a blending of each other, a truly blissful state... much better than just plain physical sex for sex's sake.

Astral sex is often much different then physical sex. Astral sex isn't so much how good a man and a women feel together, but more like the feelings of excitement and anticipation. You also get energy surges, like chills I guess? Hard to explain, but it's not the same. After all, one takes place in a body, and one takes place out of a body. Both experiences have unique qualities that the other doesn't feel.

I am sure this is true, but I have yet to meet such a person. No one I have had a relationship with has ever been interested in seeing sex beyond physical orgasm. Probably why it has been awhile since I have had a relationship. But you do not have to be with another person inorder to experience this. Hi, Just like to post my slant on this.
I am a newbie - I have looked theoretically at Consciousness for some time but only once, just once, managed to astral travel. And I blew it because when I realized I was travelling I felt this supreme elation and thought, 'What shall I do now?' and the immediate response was 'have sex!'. This is strange as I have never endeavoured to astral travel for this reason - but then here we go - on a journey and the basic instincts throw themselves up.... as soon as I thought that I was aware of dark and laviscious entities around me. It may have been because of poor astral sight that I saw these beings as dark and laviscious but nevertheless the energy from these beings was frightening to me - just as I would feel if I was being cornered in a dark alley with a frightening stranger on the earth plane - and I pulled myself away and woke myself up. So all I can say is if you can avoid the basic instincts the less likely you are to end up in a lower plane of existence. I have not experienced another astral projection since - much to my regret. The experience itself was sponaneous and so easy I found myself smiling in the bed as I was travelling at high speed on another plane of existence. Now I just get too happy to rexax deeply enough to leave my body. Please don't be frightened by it but I do recommend that you pursue higher levels because it is nicer up in the higher realms, I am convinced of that.
Sorry to put a downer on you eager to experience sex on the astral but being at the mercy of a predator is not comfortable. Of course not everyone experiences it this way ...
