Title: Personalities!
Post by: jub jub on July 24, 2006, 13:56:59
I just came from a large four day event...a gathering of people with the same interests. I noticed how some people gravitate toward each other depending on their personalities. I noticed how some people stand alone and are rejected, looking for someone with a kind heart to talk to.

It seems interesting that the most popular people are the ones that are quick witted and joke around a lot. They seem to have a lot of friends and are always the center of attention. Others, the less fortunate few get left out and rejected. They still seem happy for the most part or they are just hiding there feelings.

If we are all part of a collective spirit, why is it that we can't accept all individuals for the way they are inside and not for outward appearance? Why do we judge others by the way they look or how smart they are or affluent they are? This way of behaving is just plain flawed!

I was just wondering how some of you on this forum feel since most of you are spiritual and see things differently than carnal inclined.

Some people do not want to be the center of attention. Some may enjoy being more distant and just observing. We all have different social preferences and at different times. I also think that what we want we put off, so those that may not want to be focused on can send out vibes to be left alone and not get attention whiles those that want it get it.

Of coarse there are those that might be afraid to join in for whatever reason. You said that there are those that just wanted someone to talk to them. Did you make an effort? If we want to change something it only takes effort on our part.

As a matter of fact I did. I noticed a couple that were standing alone so I struck up a conversation and we had a nice chat. I also conversed with a fellow that was rather obnoxious and kept reminding me how successful he was. I remember thinking, I want to be with all the "cool" people but felt a sense of duty to welcome the newcomers.

After everything was said and done, I reflected on the activities of the last four days and wondered what it was all about...in the big scheme of things.

My wife says I think to much but I can't help it. I'm just too sensitive to all the problems of the world.

We may go naturally toward where the "energy" (vibes) seems more positive and expansive.

This may be natural, just as natural as it is for some bugs to be attracted to light sources.

Thank you for all your keen observations, Jub. I always appreciate your posts.

ps. I like your avatar. It is very special to me.

Jimmy Carter (not a huge fan, but these are wise words) said that the only way to change the world for the better is for people to start taking an interest in others who they would never have gravitated towards on their own. The world is too diverse to keep to our own little groups anymore.

Good point! Next time I'm with a group of friends I'm going to pay attention to the energy and see if I can feel or sense it.

Thanks for the compliment on the avatar. It reflects the way I feel some time.

I'm with you Stookie. Not crazy about him as a president but he did have a kind heart and was a man of peace and wisdom. Can't be a dummy and be president...or can you? ;)
