Why don't you all be vegetarian like me, no meat, no fish, and let Nature do what It wants... if there is a natural selection effect and a natural ballance between the population of fish and the population of seals it can manage by itself as it has been doing for many thousands of years without human interaction. The fish that is supposed to be eaten by the seals are being eaten by people, and now people are killing the seals so that they can keep on increasing the amount of fish they put on the market. Any how one day or another the planet will not be able to support us (human) all anymore, there won't be enough food anymore, enough place, etc... and eventually we'll have a natural ballance... it is just a matter of how much more can we pollute and destroy the environment for money! Just a little more everyday untill the human specy will disappear from Planet earth. Why not kill all the cats and dogs and feed on them ? Because it is a matter of marketting. We kill whales so that we can make cat-food and people can spend their money to buy their cat whales meat in boxes (where it is not written on the box of course...). It is just for money. There are competition dogs and competition horses and when they cannot race anymore they are just put to death. What kind of human are we, not human at all, just business men worrying only for money and more money. There are other jobs that exist other than fishing! It is up to the whole instution of the Government to make a change, but they are the first who do not care.

It is not just about the seals, it is about the human being in-human...

I found this quote on the internet.  I know it applies to me and to most of us but when I read your response, the thought came to me to post it here.   This does not only apply to your response or to me, but I think also to what MJ-12 is trying to say here.  We all need to find our own way (countries included since they are looking out for what is best for their people... themselves) and by chastizing others, we only shut people out... At first I thought, "Aha, this is perfect for all those religious types who come to the door proselytizing." But, with reflection, I saw that the sentence had much wider ramifications. Just as we all want to "be ourselves," that desire is universal. If we want to have our thoughts and precepts honored, we have to honor the thoughts and precepts of others. Preaching moved from the pulpit (or front door) to literally every conversation or situation. All those words being uttered by the billions of people in this world, was there another way to look at them? Yes, and from an unforeseen source.
