Do you think people might be afraid to post
in case they are shot down in flames when they do so

or do we at the pulse accept and nurture all new posters?

I think that people are interested in AP but don't have many of their own personal experiences to share with everyone.

I've seen many odd posts around here, I think we're as welcoming as possible to all that brings/seeks knowledge. I think some people may refrain from posting their experiences due to shyness or to some sort of intimidation caused by the more "advanced" stories seen here. They may feel theirs isn't worth mentioning.

But many probably never had some significant experience and are lurking for the sake of curiosity / will to learn.

I've created a blog of some sort: http://pursuingconscience.blogspot.com/

I think for newbies it can be a bit intimidating. There are so many different ideas and beliefs and advice regarding AP that it might be a lot to take in. If all I wanted to know was how to exit my body but the first several posts I read has to do with slavery by aliens and upcoming 2012 destruction, I'd run away from here faster than a new-ager can say "love and light".

I've never seen anyone get burned for posting here before.  The first time I joined this forum (this is the 2nd time), I did get "reprimanded" by a moderator because I discussed the use of altered states inducing substances (drugs) in a post outside of the "drugs" section in Permanent Topics.  Granted I was talking in the context of Shamanistic Practice, not about recreational use, but still there was a guideline that I didn't follow and subsequently, my behavior was "corrected".  That kind of bothered me a little bit at the time.  I felt like my topic was entirely relevant and the reasons given to me for the guidelines to be in place seemed unnecessary and counterproductive.  The legality in various locations and the age of posters didn't seem like a good reason to limit expression.  In fact, I think that shielding that kind of discussion leaves the young and the ignorant ill-prepared should they be confronted with a situation that is foreign to them.  All that said, guidelines/rules are usually not introduced arbitrarily.  People start a forum thinking that participants will be mature, 'smart' and respectful, only to be sorely disappointed when people do 'stupid' things.  Thus rules are made.  Though I understand and respect the pressures put on those who have to moderate or "lead" the social institutions that we all participate in, at the time I was just ticked off and felt like this forum was closed minded and wasn't the place for me.  So I left.

Then I got over myself and decided that I would be mature, smart and respectful because this is a hugely valuable resource for would-be and experienced projectors alike.

With that, I thank you all so much for being open and accepting.  You are truly the kind of people this world needs more of and I greatly appreciate your assistance.
be awesome.
