I just saw an eagle outside! This is extremely rare! Must be a sign lol.

Everyone outside stopped and stared. It was circling & the crows are ticked off!

Yeah. I thought of guess who lol.

It was almost like double rainbow. What does it mean?????

That's pretty cool Lexy. I saw a bald-eagle in nature on 2 occasions in my life. Once in Kansas and once in Illinois.

Bird watching is a secret hobby of mine. I've got several bird books and when I see one I've never seen before, I check it off. It can be exhilarating to see a bird that is rare in your area. That is if you're a bird-nerd like me.

During a 2 week period in December I saw 3 hawks swoop down and grab prey. Once I was walking in a wooded section of park near my house and one swooped down from a tree and grabbed a ground squirrel about 15 feet away. Once where I was driving and one swooped in front of my car and grabbed a sparrow in a chain link fence on the side of the road. And once at my parents house on their deck, one went into a dogwood tree and grabbed a cardinal.

That's Fascinating

Y'all forgot.... Dude!!!!

But really, that is very cool.

Hey Stookie! I have seen an eagle twice now too! That's cool to see those hawks in action, that's amazing! I had an encounter with a hummingbird once. I was standing in my backyard & a hummingbird flew right up to my face suspending itself at my eye level, like it was looking me in the eye for about a second, then flew away. It was about a foot away from my face, I always wanted to see one up close but I never thought it would happen like that. You can imagine I felt like some kind of miracle just happened to me. I was standing there frozen for a while.  :-o

That's funny! That happened to me once a couple years ago too - like you said, it got right in my face about 10-12 inches away and just looked at me for a few seconds. Of course everyone else had just gone inside and missed it...

I wonder if it was considering how much trouble you'd be... or how delicious.

Had I sat around longer he may have come back with an army of em. Like Hitchcock's "The Birds", only tinier.
