Title: "Psychic(sp?) potion(s)"
Post by: ph@s3d on August 17, 2005, 00:49:23
Ok this is probably the dumbest thing sense 'enhance your mind by popping pills' (on another forum)

"Let's face it, developing psychic ability is no easy task...

Unless you're a monk living in a monastery meditating all day, getting psychic powers might feel next to impossible. This is common story for a lot of people. But thanks the revolutionary new Psychic Potion Kit more people everyday just like yourself are learning how to unleash the subtle powers of their mind - instantly!

And I'm not just talking about looking into the future either. Users commonly report:

Communication with entities and spirits.

Flight on the astral plane.

Seeing glimpses into the future or reliving past times.

Becoming or seeing through another beings eyes.

Being in a completely different place and time.

Finding yourself in a place from your childhood.

Finding answers to life's questions.

A Lasting ability to see auras and living energy.

And many more!"

If anyone tries this, AND IT WORKS, ill eat my pillow.

It'll work just fine.
Most placebos do.

Once you take the potion and believe that it is allowing you to become psychic, your mind becomes free of the mental restraints preventing you from doing something that actually comes quite naturally to most people. Many potions and charms work that way.
The one important "magical" property they are imbued with is belief.

:)

Let us go beyond the placebo mindset for a moment James. Let us for a moment assume that this kit works completely as intended, for the average humdrum person even if they are a bit skeptical about it.

Can we discuss people and their willingness to take drugs to get to a heightened state (again)? No, that's ok. This has been way overdone, and let's just avoid it.

Thanks Ybom :)

Have you had a look at the website ph@s3d posted?

The concept of a psychic potion was amusing enough to begin with, then I saw Molly Shephard's picture, with the hair and the enhanced clevage...

I had to put forward the placebo idea just to stop from laughing my arse off!

EDIT:
I just went through the whole promo for this amazing potion.
I don't know a whole lot about most of the ingredients, but I do know that using Horny Goat (for the the base chakra of course) is probably a good reason why the rather well endowed Ms Shephard is trying to make her "assets" more obvious.

Maybe I'm taking this a bit too seriously then. Oops! I wonder where you stick the horny goat to get the effects?

Heheheheee....
Sorry to spoil your fun Ganamoha.

Well, lets put this potion to the test...
For the males of these forums, we can all start taking the potion.
The first one telepathically coerce a date with Molly Shepard wins, and the rest of us will know the stuff really works. ;)

:)

Still another manifestation of the Myth of the Great Secret.

Granted, there are any number of ways to enhance one's psychism, but TANSTAAFL rules.
