depends what you want the music for, if its for medetation, I would say do a search for sounds of nature on kazaa. Otherwise, personally, I like to listen to Shpongle (really weird psychadelic trance)

Ok well, this is my favorite type of music... so I have some insight on the best of the best "Techno" songs :)

Darude is one of the best.  He has a song called "Sandstorm" that really rocks...  It was remixed several times, into -->

"Darude & ATB - Sandstorm in the Summer"
"Darude & Robert Miles - Children of the Sandstorm"
- I really like this one [:)]

He also has other songs, such as "Calm Before The Storm"

I also like some songs from DJ Mystic, but really only the ones without lyrics... such as

"Chant"  "Unchained Melody"  "Transcending Dream" and "Tune"

One other song, it's by "ATB" and the song is called

"Escape 2000"

~Squeek

PS - I just got tons more techno songs... once I play through them all, I will get the good ones posted here [8D]

i have  2  suggestions...

1)  "Kid  a"  by radiohead i find  helps  me  get into a trance..

and

2)  the soundtrack to  the videogame  "quake"  it was done  by trent reznor of nine inch nails and  is  very ambient.   if  you have  the  Game  for  the PC,  just put the game in your Hi-Fi.

What's boring for you is a goldmine of music for me.  I like Darude's style of music, it's very different from anything else I'd ever heard.

I actually have heard of Dj Tiesto and Astral Projection's music.  I like Darude alot more [:)]  But hey, that's me.

Well, I enjoy listening to Linkin Park all the time, but at about 8pm I'll switch it over to my Techno / Dance / Trance / Electronica / This genre has too many subdivisions.

And uh...they need to stop playing that "Bring me to Life" song on the radio...Daredevil's been on video for...3 months now?  And this song was out before the movie?  Yikes.

Try Ian Van Dahl's music.  She is the AWESOMES!!!  If you like techno you'll like her; she does trance.  Sooo.... go and find her music and listen to it.

Some of her awesome songs are:

Nothing Left To Say
[:O]Castle in the Sky[:O]
After all

and many many more....

But.... if you really really really want relaxing music, try and look for Sarah McLachlan's new songs, Fallen.

Ok I heard most of it by now, and lemme tell ya it's a great addition to my already huge collection of this kind of music [:)]

Darude has another good song I'd recommend, it's called "Trance Energy"...granted, there are some talking parts, and they're kinda boring, but the OTHER 16 minutes of the song (lol [8D]) is pure excellence.

I got so much more DJ Mystic songs, but they're all lyrical, so stick with the list from before.  I got alot of stuff from DJ Epic as well, and some stuff with both of them together.

That's all for now [8D]

Do you listen to the music before you attempt the trance? Or do you use headphones and listen to it during the trance?

Anyone have any suggestions?  I am looking for techno type music.  I am not really into Enya, if that helps.

One song I like, and wouldn't mind having more similar to it is Dub in Ya Mind on the cafe del mar cd.

I suppose the type of music that makes you think of a beach or paradise of some sort, or having some wine at sunset with someone you love.
