What the hell does she mean isnt official?
Is there a official Reincarnation guide? I think she just didnt want you to read it because it doesnt go along with your relegion.

I'm Catholic, attended a Catholic girls academy for high school, and I am as open to different things as I am because of that school,...world religons was a religon course we had to take, along with an entire course on why we should/should not believe in God. We were encouraged to question.

I think the problem is with the libraian may not be because of a clash of Catholicism. I think it may be because Robert Bruce's stuff is not a separate class of organized religion (like Buddhism, Hinduism, etc.).

Had you been reading about reincarnation from a website authorized by some organized religous belief, maybe the libraian wouldn't have said anything. To him/her, Robert Bruce could be just some quack swami job, like 90% of mystics I'm sad to say.

Many years ago when I was 10 or 11 I remember I went to a Baptist sunday school.  They had a show and tell, so naturally I eventually took some UFO shots that had been taken by my Uncle.  Even today these photos are very strange and compelling.

Nothing was said by the teachers - I mean literally, there was nothing said.  I was never looked at the same again, and I don't mean that in a good way.

Well, I'm a roman catholic also, and I'm not surprised.  Whatever our views are there is *strong* catholic doctrine that is specifically against "new age" concepts.  I really don't want to start a debate over catholic doctrine, but lets say that the church has a right to define its own tenets of faith, as you do in determining what your relationship to the church will be.  You probably would have gotten the same reaction if you had used the school computer for anything else the church doesn't agree with.

What I'm curious about is why you would research this on a school computer?  I never access this site from work, and all my dream journals are kept encrypted on my own hard drive.  To put this in perspective, if my employer found out about this, I would probably be fired, and no arbitration panel would help me.  If you expose your viewpoints in public, don't be surprised when people will hold them against you in the worst possible way.  You could have accessed it from a more private place, like a public (not a school) library, a internet cafe, a friends house, or simply cache all the information onto disk and read it offline on any computer.

This is not to say that OBE/AP is bad.  I believe that it is good, useful for self-insight, and can be fun.  The sensations that I get as I try to OBE is incredible.  However, as with everything there is a price.  You just discovered one of the unplesant ones.

I am at work, taking a short break.  I have an interest and some past experience in OBE, and I am otherwise bored.

I have actually played internet games from school - in class - though I don't make it a habit.  :p

Yes, as I found out above, people (and their institutions) have strict comfort zones, with simple and direct consequences when something pushes that zone.  OBE and UFOs are at the top of many 'comfort zone threat' lists.

Wow, I ONLY access this site from work.. actually I am at work and "working" right now..

I dont see what the problem would be... not like he is checkin out porn. I think a person should be able to look at what ever they want from whereever they want. Unless its not appropriate, like say porn..

Kia can you scan those Pics of the UFO please? I would like to see them.

At our workplace, porn is instant termination.  Internet sites devoted to gambling, religion, politics, "hate" groups, hacking, or terroristic sites are grounds for termination with cause (misuse of internet).  Our workplace watches the server logs, the workstation logs, and monitors us with closed circuit cameras.  Our employer does psyche (and drug) screenings before hiring, and deviation from the norm is not permitted.  Its a harsh workplace, but pays well.  What's worse, a lot of companies are adopting the zero-tolerance rule.  In other words, its coming soon to an employer near you.

Aries:  Heh, I don't think I've seen those pics in a looong time... it's a good question if my parents still have them.  I'll have to ask the next time I see them.

Tolver:  That's why I work for a smaller company.  Doesn't pay as good, but I survived the recession with job intact, and enjoy many liberties and responsibilites I could never get in a larger company.

Just felt like sharing what happened yesterday in school.

I was trying to read the article on re-incarnation by Robert Bruce yesterday in school when I was suddenly told to get off the computer.  The librarian asked what I was reading and I told her.  She said that because it isn't "official" that I couldn't read it.  She said that anyone who could write anything, which I agreed with, but then I tried telling her how RB is respected in the field but to no avail.

I go to a catholic highschool and maybe that was why this happened.  This happened after school yesterday when no one was around.

Has this ever happened to you?
