So. I am currently a college student, and I have 3 roommates. We've set up our two rooms with one being the "party" room where homework is done and games are played, and the sleeping room where all the beds are. This works out very well when one of us is tired, because the walls are pretty sound proof.

However, every time I practice phasing, somebody comes in the room and makes noise and it distracts me. I tell myself that any sounds will only put me deeper into relaxation, but it is still annoying.

Does anybody else have this problem, and do you have any solutions for it?

You could let then know you need quite at certain times .  You could also get a pair of noise canceling head phones , and use self hypnosis cds.  One of many people with mp3-cds http://richardsutphen.com/products-page/      You could set a sensory dep. tank http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sensory_deprivation_tank   desert rat

Ah... thinking back on my college days with room mates. Once I had the same set up, but I wasn't actively trying to project at that time. I would meditate though, and I know how frustrating it can be. Now, my husband isn't loud, but my new dog certainly is (BUT I WUVS HIM SO MUCH!!!! CUTIE CUTIE CUTIE!!!!!!). Sometimes listening to music can drown out any bumps in the night/day, if you are into that. There's also ear plugs, haha. Or you can coordinate or something?

Listening to binaural beats may be perfect for you in this case. I don't use them but I'm confident they work. Good luck and don't forget to party in the party room. I miss college. I don't miss being poor and sleeping in the same clothes. Well, the only reason I don't miss having to sleep in the same clothes is because I still do. lol :-D
It ain't what you don't know that gets you into trouble. It's what you know for sure that just ain't so.
