Interesting stuff. Thanks Nay! [:)] I remember reading years ago about Tibetan monks with wet sheets on them in the snow. They also used their changed body temperature to dry them. The Discovery Channel has some nice shows on. I'll have to remember to look more often.
All the best,
I don't know if it was the same show but I saw one that sounds almost identical to the one you are descibing 3 nights ago. The main focus of the show was to study this tibetan mummy. In doing so they interviewed many tibetan monks about some of there meditations and showed the sheet thing you are talking about. The show I was watching was on the "Discovery Channel" so my guess is it was the same, it was really a neat show to watch.

Caught this on the Discovery Channel last night. Missed the first part of it, but while they say that the bell did not ring on the 14th day, according to lab test, it proved that he lived almost 3 months!!
They also showed monks who wearing nothing but those styling diapers, would wrap themselves up in sheets that were drenched in ice water, then meditate and change their body tempature. You could see the steam coming off their bodies, thus drying the sheets! Oh, and did I mention this was in 50 degree tempertures?? WOW..
I believe they said this took atleast 14yrs of much training to get to this point.
Really fascinating stuff. [:D]
